New England is not paying Amendola a salary for an average player. He also has not played well for NE. He has been a disappointment for them. Escobar has done more than Fasano.

Amendola has contributed to a team that's in SB contention every year but he wasn't good enough for the Cowboys who miss the playoffs most years. Fasano never had fewer than 14 catches in Dallas and part of his stint with the team was playing with Bledsoe. He's had a serviceable career with 33 TD's. Escobar hasn't caught more than 9 passes in a season and had a career low of 8 this season.

Whole lot of time left - playbook should be open.

Any back should be able to pick up a yard behind an OL that has 3 pro bowlers this season but none of the backs we used were effective. It was McFadden's ineffectiveness in short yardage that prompted the trade for CMike.

We traded for Michael before the season started...McFadden was a backup.

Dumb play for the receiver to go out of bounds there. It's a fine line between winning and losing. You don't want to give Seattle the ball back with too much time on the clock.

Then why do it (reach)?

Bringing up Andre Holmes, of all people, is super weak, and adds no value to any discussion.

Find a better example to prove your point next time.

I brought up Holmes as an example of how some teams can get more out of an average player than the Cowboys can. Holmes only had 14 catches but put more points on the board than Dez who had a lot more opportunity.
