Super Bowl is over, now time to focus on 2025 Cowboys

Time to focus on not being there again! But this off season will be a doosy again, Micah will be in the headlines about his contract dispute, Jerry will say something crazy, Stephen will say something else. In the end, Micah will be the highest paid!!! Don't fall for the bait!!

Micah said he is willing to take less to make the team better. However, Jerry will wait, and not allow the team to get better. So Micah will then go for the $40M+.

Jazz, I’m ready to see and believe something positive about our Cowboys. But it requires suspending reality to think with this front office “leadership” that we have any reason to believe “this year is going to be different”. I want this team to succeed and build something competitive. But I can’t pretend I don’t know who’s in charge.

Put it this way: I’m open to being positive. Just give me a realistic reason to have some positivity about 2025. In my view we will probably be better than last year but the fundamentals remain the same. Our GM and his entitled sidekick son literally don’t get it. They don’t know to build a great roster in the cap era. And their gigantic arrogance blinds them from seeing or admitting their obvious mistakes.

Is there something positive I’m missing? Asking for a friend who would like to believe something positive, lol.

But we don’t have the 1992 roster.

I was not saying all will be positive. Just that the dreaded awful season is over. So time to focus on the 2025 team, however it unfolds. New staff may bring some positives. But until we see it on the field we can only speculate. But that speculation will hinge upon what the FO does or does not do.

I was not trying to get fans fired up. As they won’t be. Just saying we should look to 2025. And forget about 2024.

We can have the 1992 roster and many will still predict a losing season.

i get it but I am usually more on the optimistic side - reality next year is we play 10 playoff teams which is going to be tough (think we had the 4th hardest schedule?)

Dak is a year older and has a bad injury to come back from (not just physically but mentally as well)

We are going to have a learning curve with the new coaches to deal with as well.


Unless this team restocks using FA and has a killer draft, i don't see them beating Wash or Philly, might split with NY and then there are only a couple of "easier" games (raiders, panthers).

I hope I am wrong and they are more competitive but right now it just looks like schedule and talent wise to be a harder year than this one.

The team is gong to make Micah the highest paid defensive player in NFL history , and then Jerry is going to take a victory lap parading the contract as proof of his willingness to spend whatever it takes. The man has never understood his job, and I don't suspect football wisdom is going to strike this offseason either.

I dont expect anything new from coach number 8. He is just another person getting his turn to stand on the sideline while JJ runs this team.

Offense needs RB, WR #2, that is a red zone threat. Another OL Depending what Martin ends up doing.
