Now that the SB is over. I will not be watching any sports shows about it.

We can now focus on the 2025 Dallas Cowboys. Yes, this thread too, will be taken over from negativity. But we all know why that will be also. The FO deserves it.
I will start it out below.

However, we got a new HC, and what seems to be, as he is putting together a decent young, new staff. That is the good thing, but that excitement won't be until game 1, or maybe in TC and PS games. As we have no idea what their impact will be.

Also, we have the same FO, yes, negative, and deserved. So will they allow the new coaching staff to succeed, or will they not give them anything to work with.
That is always still good to see how the roster is built.

Now we can focus on the NFL combine, then FA. Though it will be, what players we like to keep more so than what players from other teams do we like, that can make an impact. What players do they let walk.
Then the NFL draft, which seems light years away, without any great FA news, other than our own guys.

I am just glad this last lame season is over. Right now I care less about any other team, or how they were built, or what direction they go. Only concerned with Dallas and moving forward.

The focus will be on this front office and how serious they are about putting the best team on the field vs lip service. The Jones boys time has run out. This is a very pivotal off season as owners. They come out and do next to nothing again and go out and have another bad year of missing the playoffs then they will lose even more of the fan base. If the Cowboys start off bad next year you will see the ratings drop and you will see attendance drop. The noise will be loud for the Jones boys. They have been hiding for years but I think next year the hiding is over.

We all knew last off season was one of the worst in the NFL and then the results backed it up. Instead of owning it Jerry is surprised they aren't in the super bowl. Stephen air quotes perceived drought ect. Their actions and words show they don't see a problem with their results.
So what really changes this off season? You are up Jones boys.

I predicted 8-9 this last season. I think you are right on the money in that 7-10 range again and missing the playoffs. Right now the Eagles, Commanders, Packers, Lions, Vikings, 49ers, Buccaneers, Rams and possibly Seattle are better than Dallas. Cardinals and Falcons are close behind and could surpass them as well. Again, it's all up to the Jones boys this off season. Anyone have faith in them?

Depending on how free agency plays out this may be a season I skip again

I can’t watch them sit on their hands and not atleast trying to fill the holes on the roster

Also I don’t know if Howie Roseman is a genius or he just doesn’t give up

Kinda like a team that strikes out a lot but has the most home runs because they don’t let the strike outs make them give up

Unless it’s Dallas, they dont even get up to bat

Teams with GMs like the Rams and Eagles have learned that they can reboot and retool to get back a competitive team in 2 to 3 years......Dinosaur GMs like Jerry haven't figured out quite how to do that

Need better players for sure. I still say build a better defense. Need help every where there.
Offense needs RB, WR #2, that is a red zone threat. Another OL Depending what Martin ends up doing.

Jerry is an offensive minded guy. Don't be surprised if/when we draft WR and RB in rounds 1 and 2.

The Dallas Cowboys are not going to be in a position to be competitive for the next 5 years. Look at the entire team - look at the highest paid guys, how do they compare to the best talent in the league - especially the best teams?

dallas will be competitive, more so than in 24, but making playoffs is about the best to hope for.,

The team is gong to make Micah the highest paid defensive player in NFL history , and then Jerry is going to take a victory lap parading the contract as proof of his willingness to spend whatever it takes. The man has never understood his job, and I don't suspect football wisdom is going to strike this offseason either.

While it's next to impossible to be optimistic about this team's chances in 2025, the improvement in our coaching staff has me hopeful again.

Keeping track of our decisions in the draft and whatever might happen in terms of the free agency prospects will again be a meaningful task.

Let's hope for the prospects of a somewhat meaningful offseason and the impending draft to still remain a huge consideration for the future!

Eagles are light years better than us, so are the Commanders. We are now destined to be fighting it out with Giants for cellar dweller status.

At least my Longhorns should be good with Arch now the starting QB, early indication is Texas will be top 3 on preseason AP, "HOOK UM"
