With his injunction lifted, I think they can impose the suspension unless/until Elliott's appeal is decided.

Just tired of this mess. I don't think Zeke's slip in performance is a coincidence - it has to be a distraction for him and his preparation. I don't think it should be used as an excuse, but it is what it is at the moment.

No way I can give Zeke a 2nd contract with him already serving a 6 game suspension in just his 2nd year. If we finish with a top 5 pick I'm drafting Saquon Barkley. The NFL will suspend Zeke for anything now especially after he admitted to using some pretty serious drugs in college.

Jerry really needs to turn the screws if he can on Goddell in his reup as commissioner. Ratings are down, attendance is down...this is all on the commissioner and reason enough for Jerry to ask for give backs. The next contract with the players will never allow the commissioner the power that he has now to rule In the opposite direction of the US courts.

On a separate note I am also betting that Jerry does not get the next draft

Well, you could have a point. Goodell and friends did, in fact, go hard after Tom Brady?? For no logical reason..except power. To me, their beef with Elliott is not racial. He is a budding Super star with some serious defects. They are sending a message..you want to be a big star in "our" league make better choices and grow up. Frankly, the Owners have a point. Discipline starts at home. The Cowboy FO should have sat him down long ago and forced him to see what changes HE needed to make. This piece of business is not really on the NFL. Its Elliotts responsibility to make the changes that he needs to make.

Great point. Very logical. The clapper and friends had to sign the sizzle when they should have signed Murray. Its an old argument...but its true.

And he'll probably have to live like a monk, because if he ever gets accused of anything again he could be looking at a lifetime ban.

That's when he needs to whip out personal surveillance tapes of himself, not doing a dang thing. If this suspension holds as expected, he needs to protect himself anyway he can going forward.
