Sad and angry are two different emotions.
Either it's sad (as in pathetic/meaning there's some apathy there, or it's sad literally)

Either way it's not angry.

I have 2 problems with T.O.s assertion that Jones was talked into releasing him.

First, T.O. says it was "two or three" people who talked Jones into it. Two OR three? What, doesn't T.O. know for sure, because he's throwing comments around like he does? What's more likely is that T.O. doesdn't really know what went down, because if he did he wouln't have been "blindsided", right?

Second, which "two or three" people talked Jones into it; why won't T.O. say? After all, wasn't he the one preaching against un-named suorces being cowards; that if they had something to say they should reveal themselves? If so, then why won't T.O. reveal the "two or three"? Again, what's more likely is that T.O. doesdn't really know who, if anyone other than Jerry Jones, ultimately, actually had a hand in the decision.

It was Stephen Jones future Cowboys owner/GM.
That future does not look bright from where I'm standing, unless we need to make sure we get every one signed.

I don't see anything, and have not seen anything to indicate that Stephen would make a great owner, we're just thinking anyone would be better than father Jerry, but personally, I don't see much there.

While I would love to see baby TO , I mean Miles Austin produce like that. I wouldnt put all my eggs in the Austin basket. Him with the ball scares me. I am still not over his 4 fumbles on kickoffs in 06'.

My question is..... If Romo has an 09' season like 08', who is going to be the offseason scapegoat? Romo or JG?

Maybe if Miles can hang onto just half of the drops TO had and convert them into a few TD's that would be a plus.

TO had WAY more drops at crucial times than the 4 fumbles on KO's by Miles.

I still haven't gotten over some of TO's drops. Many of the apologist fail to mention the drops!

WR drops kill me in general. TO has more than his fair share of them, but I actually think he gets a bum-rap on the drops because so much was made of him leading the league in drops during a year he played with a broken hand.

He did have some drive killing and even game changing drops, but his big plays far outweighed his untimed drops. That is yet to be seen from Miles.

You can make people forget about your drops when you make plays. Unless of course you have Joe Buck on national TV reminding us of how many drops he has in comparison to the league.

Broken hand or not... he still had a BUNCH of them. Some at crucial times.

Crayton is the king of drops at clutch times.

Owens worst drop was in 06 I believe in Washington, he got behind the defense and Romo hit him in stride for what would've been a 70 yard TD - and he dropped it. We lost 14-13 I think, that one hurt.

And when he does drop those balls he just goes back to the huddle like nothing happend...no big deal, no talking in the huddle, no showing his teeth...nothing, like nothing happened.

Yet, if he's open and Romo does not get him the ball, then he's ranting and raving all over the place!

But, he's the greatest football player to ever lace em up...

He "loves him some him".

That's true. He drops a lot of passes. There's an asterisk by his drop count for 2006 (7?), though.

By 'king of drops' here, we mean he had *a* drop in the Giants playoff game. Otherwise, he's clutch.

I'd rather see that than the 'aw shucks face' Eli , I mean Romo gives after throwing into triple coverage.

Gotta disagree here. ironically, ever since Crayton opened his mouth prior to that Giants game he's had quite a few key drops. Key because usually he's a third down target and if he'd made the catch it would have extended the drive.

http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/leaders.asp?year=&type=Receiving&range=NFC&rank=232

I think people pay more attention now than they did prior to him opening his trap. He's still a consistent receiver.

Hard to find comprehensive drops data. This list from Stats Llc isn't long, but at least it pretty much puts to rest the silly argument that Crayton's the 'King of Drops.'

Now, I'm off to mock the Crayton bashers in the 'who won't show up on Monday' thread. I don't even like the guy and I'm always carrying his water.

Yeah, Lord knows I'd rather have a mouthy non-talent on my team, than a mouthy game-changing HOFer on my team. Crayton's the new talentless version of the HOFer, he's the new Cowboy fan whipping boy, he'll be the excuse of why we were 5-11 and our franchise is burning to the ground.
