Hall ain't going this year- the words out on him now. After the way NO ate him up then TO last night and the other bad games he has had this year- a WHOLE lot of them- he is finally getting what he deserves.

the question said it had to be based on character alone, not ability or need, and I am not aware of character issues with Hall.

That said, you are alone in your opinion of Hall...the probowl, unlike baseball, is not selected by the fans...their part is minimal.

Clearly, the coaches, players around the league, and everyone who makes a living in the NFL, including sports media, believe Hall is a pro-bowler and one of the top CBs in the NFL.

He makes a lot of huge plays...I'd take him over anyone in our secondary besides TNew, and I'm not sure the rest of the league wouldn't see that one as a push.

If we were basing our team additions solely on character you can take down the ring of fame because there would be no names in it and you can give up the 5 super bowl victories. Character won't win games consistently. IOW, no one is perfect. Everyone has a flaw here or there. Some, like many of us that post on the WWW, are able to keep those flaws hidden from public view because no one is shoving a mic into our faces every 5 minutes and our every action isn't international news.

Pro-bowl... If you don't think the pro-bowl is not in any way influenced by fan perception, than really... Larry Allen made the pro-bowl the last 3 years if I remember correctly... he was sucking the last 3 years with the Cowboys...

What gets me is that this AM on ESPN they start off the program saying "It's a shame that we have to start off the show with the T.O. spitting incident instead of talking about the Cowboys Big Win"

Who the Heck made the T.O. incident priority????

They Did!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just media sensationalism.

I know it's a story ,but after they talked about the incident they never talked about the Game last night.

Just ridiculous.:espn:

At least you can cleary see through the agenda. I'm right there with you.

As for Mr. Selfish TO, let's also ignore the video of him going over to Barber and slapping him high-fives and giving him mad props... Let's not talk about the AWESOME display of blocking put on by TO as a WR during that game... Let's not talk about the torn ligaments he has been playing with in his hands... Let's not talk about how, during the periods his drops have been scrutinized to a tee, he hasn't even said anything about the hand..

Oh, but that would mess up our view of TO...

We are forbidden to talk about things of that nature so I just put em in my sig. :lmao:

Yes. Please provide some numbers. They were nothing close to the dissertation that took place within a matter of hours last night. It's laughable.

This surprises you???

It is our team, right? Wouldn't you be more alarmed at your child being arrested or starting a fire than the kid down the street?

Wouldn't it bother you more if your child started a classless fight than if someone else started it with your child?

This is our Dallas Cowboys...I think it's natural to be more impressed by classy guys on our team who help in the community and more appalled by guys on our team who break the law or who commit classless errors in judgment.

I will say that while T.O. never seems to be able to keep his mouth shut, and while I really think he has psychological problems and either is or should be on medication to regulate his mood swings, I am happy with the way he has been conducting himself after TD's...it's a small thing, but any effort he makes to get through this season without being a bigger distraction, the happier I am.

I also think fining a guy and telling him he'll face suspension if it happens again is perfectly fair....I would hope that the Cowboys would suspend him if he spit on someone again with only two weeks left in the season.

I will also add that I have given this some thought, and I can honestly say that if this were DeMarcus Ware or Tony Romo or any other seemingly solid citizen and representative of the Cowboys who had spit on an opponent, I'd feel just as disappointed and sick about it...maybe moreso because their character and reputation would have taken a much longer fall than T.O's.

I would be more alarmed that my child didn't finish a fight someone else started.

Both would bother me just the same. As I just stated, I would be most alarmed if my child didn't finish said fight and chose to come whine to me like D Hall did to mommy media. I learned this lesson at age 13 thanks to a very strong mother and the strength that she gave me stands with me today.

Really? Well click this link but be sure to turn down your speaker volume. I wouldn't want you to have any more anti-TO firepower.

Right. If you just take a deep breath and enjoy what he's doing on the field since he's not out stabbing, raping, or pillaging anyone off the field you will be just fine. That'll be $100 please.

While ignoring the second sentence since it comes from a place I am not familiar with I totally agree with the first sentence.

How the pro-bowl is selected is open to anyone who wants to read it.

The players and coaches have a bigger say than the fans. LA did indeed get in or reputation, but it was his reputation with coaches and fans whether he deserves it or not.

Do you know anything about the history of the Dallas Cowboys?

Name the players in the ring of honor and tell me why they wouldn't deserve to be there...every single one was a high character guy as far as I know.

The point is there are plenty of great WR's who ARE high character guys...you don't have to sign lowclass jerks in order to win games. Need I remind you that T.O. has never won a ring?

Besides, I didn't ask the question of whether I'd take Hall's character or T.O's...I merely answered a question, and no one has told me yet of anything Hall has ever done that shows poor character...the question someone else asked specifically said "leaving out ability and need"...ask him why the question was asked...or was it you?

Frankly all the trash talk and all the mouth about how great he is when he is not that good does not speak well of him.
By the way- the fans are a full 1/3 of the vote for the Pro Bowl. How many players really look hard at who they vote for if they have not played against him? LA did NOT deserve to be in the Pro Bowl for several of his times- you disagree?

It's not about deserving to be there. This is a very subjective topic. It's more about Character. After all ,that's what we were talking about.

That said...

Irvin's troubles are well documented. He's in the ROH. The rest of them can't be spoken for. However, the ROH isn't a perfect science. If so then please explain why Irvin is in it. Shall we talk about his high character?

According to the Fox NFL Sunday, Hall asked the league to suspend Owens.
Also Hall says TO didn't apologize to him, he said he apologized to the media but not to Hall. After the game Hall said TO came to him and asked 'so i heard you got beat up in a club.'

I really don't see what the big deal is. So he spit on Hall - big deal. It's not like he punched him in the ear. ...:)
