Take Heart Ogletree Fans

The thing I like best about him is he always wants more yardage. he fights for every inch of ground. I feel pretty good about our WRs this year.

Austin...22.7 ypc
Hurd...19.2 ypc
Ogletree...19.0 ypc
Williams...17.1 ypc
Crayton...16.6 ypc

I love seeing production like that.

We are truly blessed. Other teams? Not so much.

I was thinking about that last week.

I said, boy if AROD wasnt hitting they would be all over her. lol

Although I must say when Pedro struck him out I was pist. He should have gotten that hit instead of Matsui "just to drive it home" - pun intended.

I have been saying for 9 weeks now to play Ogletree more.

Jerry Jones told the coaches to play him more.

Now, why can't Wade and Garrett see the oblious?

Desean Jackson would still be riding the pine if the Cowboys drafted him.

It is ridiculous not playing rookies. You don't have to start them but PLAY them some.

For end of the roster guys like Ogletree, its always a numbers game on who suits up. Depending on that particular week and what Wade needs , ex. another lb, a special teams guy, retc... Plus we don't know if Ogltree was inactive because he doesn't know the playbook as well. I'm sure the coaching staff had been wanting to get Olgetree in a game for awhile now.

We are truly blessed to have some good, young, wr's. Whats amazing to me is that, other than Williams, these wr's were undrafted, or late round picks.

Great excuses... few eamples include T.Choice last yr., and V. Butler. Wade is a throwback coach... he coaches and handles players like his daddy! Unless you are a High draft pick you dont play, period!

Wade being on the HOTSEAT does not help... But maybe thats why JERRY stepped in

Owens made Romo.

Now Austin, Hurd, Olgetree are making Romo.

Maybe he just wasn't quite ready the past 5 to 7 weeks. But now was the time, and the situation was just right to put him in. As a big rival game, the Eagles thinking, yeah right, a rookie UFA getting the ball in a key play.

Then BOOM [where's John Madden] hit them with the rookie....

he's right here my friend. He'll always be right here.

Good call on the Kmart comparison. I was thinking the same thing after seeing him run those screens. Ogletree looks physically like a younger, sturdier version of Kelvin Martin than was in Dallas. He darts around like Kmart when he gets the ball.

EARLY on Otree reminds me of greg Jennings-also #85 on Green Bay: similar build/speed/hands: if he is 75% as good as Jennings is: we'll really have something and I think he will be....

Hey, that's a good comparison... their playing styles do seem to be somewhat similar...

That clip pretty much sums up the Faiders these days-- they can't get out of their own way... :D

That is a very silly reason to not play young players, lol. Last year Choice was 3rd on the depth chart and didn't get to play some meaningful snaps until Choice and Barber got banged up. Butler is a rookie who is making the conversion from college DE to NFL LB. That is not an easy transition to make. Ogletree started out this 5th on the wr chart, but I'm sure will be moving up the depth chart pretty quick, as the season progresses. If the Cowboys were in rebuilding mode, then you can justify throwing rookies and young players into the fire, but you don't just put these young players in the game until the coaching staff feels they can contribute.

Unlike Roy Williams who runs out of bounds in a big division game on the road with a linebacker chasing him.

With all the heat Mike Jenkins took last year for his tackling, how does this guy get a pass for running out of bounds early? That really ticked me off at the time.

He certainly displays a nice burst, and those quick parallel passes add a new dimension to the offense. Last summer I compared him to K-mart, but he might be a tad faster.

Roy Williams has received a pass? Do you read this forum?

How much of the Offense does he know?

Think that could play a part in how he is used?

The offense should cater to playmakers NOT a playbook.

Shoe-horning players into a (failed-to-date) over-zealous system has it all backwards.

The other poster is correct d.jackson if drafted by wade/jerry/jason would be on the bench intead of being a gamebreaker.

that it took this long to bring AUSTIN into the gameplan is crazy. i gues he didn't know the plays either (especially when he missed half a season injured with nothing to do but study/rehab).

nevermind their use of felix.
