McClay is overrated.

He falls into the no-accountability leadership Dallas has going. Things that turn out are "proof" that they are good, players that bust are just bad luck. No one's fault.

I was one who thought Will McClay, being a shadow GM, was doing a great job. At least 2022 and before.

Now, it seems obvious that we’ve lost our way from an organizational perspective and our scouting is no longer viable.

Before they had to offset the crazy and McClays team had been somewhere able to resist the stupidity of Stephen and Jerry, but I’ve lost what faith I had.

We had two picks in 2022, one in 2021 and two in 2020.

Pretty crappy overall.

It just feels bad that what was the one thing we all tried to say “but we draft well …” is now an outdated opinion.

It all starts and end with Jerry. He poisons any endeavors the Cowboys attempt because his main goal is to make money over and above winning.

McClay actually needs to move on. He sucks at identifying traits of low-motor players.

Not at all. As a fan, once you realize the franchise is micromanaged and controlled by a hubristic, narcissistic moron, you’re never miserable because you know it’s going to fail. Sure, you become apathetic, but so what? This fan base needs way more apathy given Jerry is the source of all that is wrong and he needs to leave or success measured in SB and Conference championships will never be attained. The best way to see his arse off into the sunset, absent dying, is for the fan base to bottom out and collapse.

He won’t spend money in FA because his main concern is maximizing profit and he’s a part-time GM that doesn’t know the job anywhere near well enough to be competent. It’s a great recipe for failure. Stop eating what Jerry is cooking. It’s freeing.

As I have stated before in other threads, I buy no merchandise and watch games through a bootleg TV service. They get no money from me. My only question is who will you blame when Jerry is gone and the Cowboys still aren't winning every year?

It is hard to hit in the draft when you are drafting in the 20s in every round.

I am more irritated with the coach's player evaluations especially on offense and lack of ability to utilize a player's strengths. The 4 plays they have run for Lance the last 2 weeks are total garbage, years later they still haven't figured out any ways to get Turpin open in space, took 8 weeks to figure out Dowdle is the best back on the field. The list goes on and on with the offense.

At least with Zimmer he is doing different things to utilize guys like Overshown and despite all the injuries they have gotten better as the season as progressed.

I think they just hate Lance or something like that. They give him the ball around the goal line. The line doesn't block, he's tackled immediately in the backfield, back to the bench. I think his one other play was a hand-off. They should at least stop lying. You clearly do not have packages in place to take advantage of his abilities. That would require some sort of creativity which for some reason no one on offense seems to have.

The fear of not having success under the management of a future, as yet unknown, GM is not a reason to stick with what we KNOW is going to end in failure and no success with our current GM. Ideally, he’s booted as the owner, too.

You say that as if we, the fans, have any say. Jerry is the GM until he decides to not be the GM...or he dies.
