• Not alot of changes need to be changed in this game. Offense just needs to play better

• Cowboys seem to use teams blueprints vs teams. They did it when playing SEA, and dont be suprised to see Dallas do some of the things SEA did. Wether they can execute is the question.

• Put pressure on Sanchez and he will fold.

• OL is more important than Murray to the Cowboys.

• The only team who hasnt scored pts on the Eagles this yr was the Cowboys on thanksgiving. Expect the team to score.

• Smart call would be to stay out of the zone with this team. They run too many short routes to play zone.

• Have to give the defense credit for the last game, they held Philly to FGs after the first 2 drives. Offense just didnt show up.

• Leary need to handle Cox and Free needs to do the same with Barwin. Those are the isolated matuchups.

• Eagles give up 371 yrds a game more then Dallas.

• Dallas needs to play physical. Eagles dont handle that well

• Biggest need on this team is an upgrade of the DL. 2nd a Cb and 3rd is a safety who can play th backend.

• Wilcox longterm solution? If this team is going to keep Church then they need a safety who can read the field better. Time to stop the excuses for him.

• How are Cowboys preparing for this offense? At practice they have two huddles. Once one play is ran the 2nd huddle breaks and runs on the field to run the next play. <<< impressive adjustment for this game.

• People screaming for blitzing, SEA blitzed once vs Phi. SEA dominated them with physical man coverage and got pressure with their front 4.

• Patmon, Heath and Lawrence will play this week.

• Dont be suprised if Edwards fills that empty spot.

Seattle ran the ball but Lynch looked dinged up. I'll bet we do a better job of it.

Thanks for the recap Latin.

Interesting comments regarding Wilcox, blitzing against Philly and the Boys using other teams blueprints against opponents.

Also, thought Edwards was placed on IR.

To me this was the biggest point made "Not a lot of changes need to be changed in this game. Offense just needs to play better" 4 of 12 on 3rd down will not cut it. It starts up front they have to protect and have to open lanes up for Murray. Romo has to play much better than he did

Defense did not play well in first game. Yes the offense stunk but since when is it ok to give up 17 points on the other teams first 3 drives?

Too many excuses for this defense. The offense cannot bail them out every game.

33 points is unacceptable. If they can hold to 24 or less we should win. The offense will play well this game bank on it.

How about they keep Wilcox, and get another safety that can cover? Wilcox will probably be better than Church by next season.

This defense is not designed to hold THAT offense to 24 points. We do not have the personel. Unless Philly turns the ball over...they will score 34 points. Dallas better go into the game with the mindset that they will have to score 35 points to win. We have invested HEAVILY on offense...lots of cap dollars...lots of high draft picks..lots of blue chippers...this team is CONSTRUCTED for the offense to to do the heavy lifting.

No excuse and it is not ok to give up 17 points in the 1st 3 drives but offense controlling the ball keeping defense fresh is what has helped this team and this defense.

I don't know if Dallas must score 35 points to win but they do need to control the ball better and longer than they did. They can't turn the ball over as they did in the game and they can't be going 4 of 12 on 3rd downs.

Please. This is the exact same offense that was completely inept against our pitiful defense last year. I will bet you ONE BILLION dollars that the Eagles don't score 34 points. I think they will be very hard pressed to get 24. But yes, I think the Cowboys will score 35, so no problem there either.

In season Broaddus seems fairly inept. During the offseason, his takes seem more in line with what I see. Then the games start mattering and his takes are all over the place.

No more excuses for Wilcox? He has been getting every game and it's his first year starting and third year playing defense. I know you want the instincts of Early Thomas but Rome isn't built in a day. They even bring up the screwed up TD by Church but how can they miss his lack of range to get to the sideline from a deep drop?

Yesterday he dead panned Brent as he has all year saying that he won't even play and how great Hayden has been. Bleh. If nothing else they gave Brent 22 snaps in his first game back. If they didn't like him they would have done the same as they did with McClain and not given him many snaps.

Not mentioning LB as a top need indicates a lack of identifying weak spots. The Bears as have plenty of other opponents threw up the right hash and into the middle of the field. That is not CB territory.

I really think that Broaddus is good at regurgitating info his scout buddies give him during the offseason and for whatever reason in season his takes go to poo.

So because what Broaddus doesnt see what you are he's inept? Or couldit be the other way around ?

Barry church first yr starting 135 tackles 1 int 6 PD and 3 FF

The sad thing is Wilcox best football came last yr before he got hurt.

Only people anywhere i read news on cowboys that think Wilcox is capable of being that Fs dallas needs is on this forum. News, TV, games, anywhere. its just the GMs in this forum lol. Just because theyre starting for this team doesnt mean theyre starting material. This team just doesnt have anybody better.

LBer for 2015 right now would be Lee at one and Hitchens at another. So that would leave McClain or Durant as another Lber right? Dont think thats a top need either.

I dont think the defense is dominant. But they have the ability to put good games together. But i agree if the offense isnt going to show up, its a loss

Church…

Stats were used for years to defend RW31. For years.

I said it back then, and I'll say it now…it's easy to make tackles when your guy is always making the catch. And the INT against the Giants? Please. Had Eli made a basic high school level throw, it was a walk-in TD in front of Church. As it is, it was a gift, and Church did nothing but make the catch.

Yes, Church is good in run support, not so much in the passing game.

Given his relative inexperience, Wilcox can possibly grow. Church needs to be replaced or add weight and move to LB.

If it's a choice between you and Broaddus or my own eyes, it's an easy choice. I watch every single snap the Cowboys play at least 3 times. How many times doall the other people you allude to?

We have been giving up big plays deep up the hashes and the middle of field for three years now. You familiar with the common denominators Church and Carter?

And I have heard plenty of people talk about how Wilcox's play has improved particularly on the national broadcasts. Those guys get access to the coaches and players in the days before the game you know. You can pretend that you have everyone on your side and I have no one on mine but it is both a logical fallacy and moreso just not true. You should pay better attention.

And I would also add that Wilcox is not a FS as he cannot take true center on single high and get to the sideline. That is the bar. Church cannot get there out of cover 2 which he has shown time and again. Wilcox can at least do that. He starts on the strongside of the formation even if they move him around.

Church is not very good giving deep help. It is what it is.

I did like this innovative change to help the D prepare: "How are Cowboys preparing for this offense? At practice they have two huddles. Once one play is ran the 2nd huddle breaks and runs on the field to run the next play. <<< impressive adjustment for this game." That should help prepare physically but it will also be colder; harder to breathe, etc. I see us taking this game because their talent is simply weaker (esp on O). Was also surprised to read they give up almost more than 400 yards per game than our D...or was that a typo?

Offense has carried this team all year. This is a 4-9 defense bailed out by a playoff caliber offense. Yes the offense will need to step up. They usually do. But the constant criticism of this well above average offense while we treat the defense like the 'special" member of the family is tiresome. Oh look they gave up only 460 yards of offense and 30points clap clap.
