Latin, I enjoyed your discussions...for me early on, I'm watching both Leary and Spencer to see how they handle their jobs.

The way to attack the eagles is through the air

The Eagles secondary was getting away with a lot of contact on Thanksgiving, especially on Dez. They got called for it against the Seahawks. Hopefully this time it will be a little more even. I think if they try to take away Witten and Dez we may see more of Beasley, Escobar, and maybe Harris and Dunbar.

They were molesting Dez. It was ridiculous how a guy had his back to the ball, a hand on Dez's chest and another holding his arm down running downfield for 20 yards and not one flag. There were other games that week where a DB would simply touch a receiver running by him 10 yards down field and they called contact.

It was pretty bad. And on the other side they were getting away with a lot of push offs on offense but I've seen that in a lot of games this year.

• Not alot of changes need to be changed in this game. Offense just needs to play better

So does the defense.

• Cowboys seem to use teams blueprints vs teams. They did it when playing SEA, and dont be suprised to see Dallas do some of the things SEA did. Wether they can execute is the question.

Not sure this is exactly the right way to do it, since well, we have next to nothing that Seattle has. We do not have a pass rush, physical group of LBers besides McClain, a real free safety or CBs who are aggressive and can play the football.

• Have to give the defense credit for the last game, they held Philly to FGs after the first 2 drives. Offense just didnt show up.

Credit for surrendering 17 points and putting the offense in a hole, but hey, give them some credit, right? It is too much to ask the offense to dig out of a hole like that, especially against a good defense.

• Biggest need on this team is an upgrade of the DL. 2nd a Cb and 3rd is a safety who can play th backend.

Safety is a greater need than CB and it is not even close.

Please. This is the exact same offense that was completely inept against our pitiful defense last year. I will bet you ONE BILLION dollars that the Eagles don't score 34 points. I think they will be very hard pressed to get 24. But yes, I think the Cowboys will score 35, so no problem there either.
Wow! Just Wow! As a Cowboy fan...I hope Philly does not score a single point. But did you really just bet 1B dollars that they will not score 34 points? Do you really think they will struggle to score 24 points? Again....I hope you are right....but I hope the people in Valley Ranch are not banking on this. Forget we did not sack Sanches last game...I don't even think we TOUCHED him!!! So if DeMarcus "got Jerry frothing at the mouth" Lawrence decides to show up...and the rest of the pass rush/defense decide to show up.....I will be having crow for breakfast on Tuesday morning. But if Mark Sanchez runs a 7 on 7 drill Sunday night...get ready for a shootout!

Defense needs to step up too. Its Mark Sánchez not Peyton Manning back there. Make a play and quit waiting to win every game on offense. Even Mince admitted that's what they do. This defense has it better than most in the NFL they are kept off the field so often. If we are going to be a playoff team they have to make plays.
I would LOVE for that to be the case. But look at what we got on defense...and tell me who is underachieving. I mean...the best player on defense.....Rolondo McClain....Philly is really a bad matchup for him. You have a face paced offense....going agaisnt a slow defense. The team does not the rush the passer well...OR cover well. There is a REASON most thought this team would go 6-10. This defense is no match for Broncos, Packers, Pats, Colts, Eagles of the NFL. Does not mean it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to win. But the coaches would have to find the right mix of risk/conservative approach to get it done. But at the end of the day....I don't think this defense is good enough for us to beat teams like that scoring 24 points.

Okay, maybe I got a little emotional. LOL.

Just goes to show you what a real free safety can do.

And a consistent pass rush.

As a safety when you know a QB has to get rid of the ball at a certain time because of a great pass rush, you can play downhill and extremely aggressive like Kam does. And yeah, having a guy like Earl Thomas helps just a little I think.

There's no doubt in my mind that Church can cause havoc over the middle and near the LOS like Kam does if he had the same pieces around him. He shows flashes of it even on a poor defense.

Church is your standard, run of the mill, in the box safety. Why we have insisted on having two of them on the field at that same time in this defensive scheme is mystifying to me. Wilcox is basically the same player, but slower mentally and faster physically.

Yeah, when you have the best cover safety in the league next to you. It's much easier to play SS in this type of defense.
