I want to take this serious, but when they start talking about how Floyd could be there at #34, I snap back to reality. He won't get out of the top 15.

You're probably right but every year there will be surprises. Last season, nobody thought Gregory would fall so hard. The year before, several QBs fell hard that nobody predicted.

Does Ramsey being a safety more than a CB change our perception of him? Is he all of a sudden less valuable?

Yes, you don't take a safety in the top 10 of the draft. CB is a money 5 position, not safety. Likely the Boys would rather trade down or just take Zeke who
is less risk and helps the offense and defense by keeping them off the field.

Personally, the way the game is played now with more multi-receiver sets and TEs an even bigger part of the passing game, I think that the safety position has never been more important on a defense. As a safety, I think Ramsey brings much more value - it maximizes his range, hitting ability, blitzing skill and he can lock up TEs and match up with WRs. His lack of turnover creation is somewhat troubling.

That being said, I don't want the Cowboys to take Ramsey. Trade down if possible, and if not, select either Tunsil or Elliott.

Safety has been more important than anyone wants to give credit for the last 10 years

Outside of fullback, punter or kicker, no one should ever rule out a position for a top 5 choice. I'd take Ed Reed #1 overall and Sean Taylor was drafted 5th I believe, maybe 6th and was definitely worth the pick. Given a weak enough draft, I'd even take a guard 4th overall if we're talking Zack Martin or so. Probably not a guard only prospect, like Chance Warmack or Jonathan Cooper from a few years ago, but a guard who had enough versatility to play tackle would definitely be in play, even if I were set at tackle.

Saw something on twitter yesterday (I think) and Stephen said Ramsey is probably better at corner or maybe it was he was further along at corner than Byron Jones at this point last year.

Not sure why everyone keeps imagining him at safety, when literally everything that has come out points to the staff viewing him as a CB. Going back to last year, the staff was extremely vague on where they would play Jones even after they drafted him, but Ramsey isn't even in the folds yet, and everyone says he's a CB not a FS or SS, yet everyone here (not you) keeps saying he's a FS.

But with that being said, I really think SD takes him at #3. Dumb for them to pass on Tunsil imo, but they seem to prefer Ramsey.

IDK about all this generational talent stuff, Ramsey didnt show anything special while at FSU. He showed good play but nothing that really caught my eye. I remember seeing Deion at FSU and i saw special. I see Zeke and i see Special. I saw Bo Jackson and i saw special. Ramsey is just eh

It might have something to do with quarterbacks never throwing to his side of the field.

Deion Sanders
Leroy Butler
Terrell Buckley

For like a 5-6 year period there FSU corners absolutely jumped off the screen each and every game with spectacular plays.

I'm not gonna pretend that I've broken down his game film, but having seen FSU more than a few times, I'd say he was not avoided enough to explain the 0 ints. If you want to argue that he didn't face a ton of high octane offenses in the ACC, thus the opportunity wasn't there, fine I'll give you that. But I also don't think he faced a lot of WRs the last few years that will be playing on Sunday's. There won't be a WR he faced (he was at FS though) this year who will be anything earlier than a 4th round pick. Last year he faced Devante Parker who had 200+ yards, no sure how much was on him, but 200+ yards is a lot. Phillip Dorsett had 4 catches for 90 yards and a TD, again, not sure how much he covered him. If he was truly being avoided, he would be covering the future first round picks, and if he was, he certainly wasn't avoided.

Definitely shouldn't be, but also understand why it is in man schemes. If we played the zone Marinelli prefers, you would need athletic Safeties in the modern passing league w/TEs being Wrs and RBs out of the backfield being pre-planned to isolate them w/the SS. Also why I would cut Carr despite the "leverage" he has after the draft. You can draft zone corners in the mid rounds as they aren't as valued in comparison so don't know why Marinelli doesn't remind them of this gap in communication. Marinelli probably likes having him and doesn't take the 13M into account as he shouldn't. Why JJ/SJ allow this blunder to continue is a mystery to me tbh

Hearing talk inside Valley Ranch that some feel Ramsey is better at Safety.

ON Lawrence: hearing supplement he was taking that had a banned ingredient in it, and also hearing he was taking something prescribed to him in recovery. (personal note) --> i think both stories might be true, one being he got caught with the supp and lost the 4 checks and this one is the medical prescription.

ON Bosa being the pick: Because Lawrence's 4 game mistake do you make a 4 yr mistake on Bosa?

Think its coming down to Ramsey and Bosa at 4 even before latest news

Spence is a explosive player off the snap. But when you talk to coaches about him theres a pause.

A guy to keep an eye on in a trade back or at 34, Leonard Floyd DE/OLB Georgia

4 is not high for Zeke

Seen Crawford outside and he is alot better inside.

Asked Jerry at Owner meetintgs, and he said even if they were to draft a QB at 4, Moore would be the backup in 2016.

Question on Hardy return: Nobody at VR wants him back.

Do you mean they said they think 4 is not to high to take him? Or that 4 is too high for a RB? Just curious
