Yes, you don't take a safety in the top 10 of the draft. CB is a money 5 position, not safety. Likely the Boys would rather trade down or just take Zeke who
is less risk and helps the offense and defense by keeping them off the field.
You know how many scouts in retrospect wished they would've taken Ed Reed back in 02? If there is a safety with off the charts coverage/ball skills then you take him no matter how high.

Ramsey is no Ed Reed. Only 3 interceptions his whole career in college. He is not a catalytic player so why rate him as one. He's good not great or all world.
This is really a poor draft at the top. You will get more production from Zeke, more scores, more offense, more wins than Ramsey could ever produce. Zeke
could eventually take over games like Emmitt. Ed Reed never took over games. I too wish there was another Demarcus Ware in the top 5 of this draft
class but, there just isn't.

Of course a S can't take over a game like a RB can, but Reed definitely affected the game because he was such a threat on D. He was the Deion of the safety position. I don't want Ramsey if they're set on him being a CB, but i could see him being an all pro S.

so you think that Ramsey will become a game changing, play maker in the pros even if he wasn't that in college?

He may have lacked actual turnovers, but if you say he wasn't a game changing play maker I'd invite you to watch his film. Being schemed against changes a game. The blitzing and batted ball's change games. Watch the tape not the stats.

I think if you look at any ranking, he is the highest ranked player who could be there. Now if he is gone then tunsil will be the highest rated player but don't think taking another first rnd oline guy is a smart move. At some point you have to pay them and that could eat a huge chunk of cap space

Right, they can make the wall stronger, but maintaining the costs will tear it down. As well as you can build the best vault, but have nothing to put in it to protect it. [football after Romo that is, if no QB taken].
If Ramsey is gone, and they don't take Elliott, then prefer they trade down, get some picks for Tunsil. Then still possibly draft Elliott later.
But to me, this would be a choice....highest ranked player or a player near him that helps the team more. And what others, in their opinions that have a player ranked higher, is not always what the team rankings are.
I look at rankings as a + / - factor. In the 1st round it may be 3, and goes up as the round goes too. The 4th round it is a + / - 8, just throwing a number out there.
rounds 6 and 7 is any ones guess before the draft starts.

I think so. Keep in mind Mo and Carr are on the last year of their deals. We will need a CB pretty bad. I think Ramsey can be an ok CB but he would be a much better safety. You could play him like jones last year. A bit of both and see if a true CB falls to you are you hit on a guy later. Then move him to safety after you fill that need be that this year or next

Hargreaves is a better corner I think. But you're right, Ramsey is a better safety than corner.
