Prefer Break, but still some notes:

Good in general, but the "inside jokes" they think are so cute do not come off well. Makes them seem they think they are big time VIP's, which they are not. Condescending is not a good look when your job depends on public acceptance.

Broaddus cannot for the life of him complete a sentence without interrupting himself mid sentence.

When Broaddus asks a question to the group "Do you think ...?" , he is really stating his opinion but wants someone else to say it, I suppose to distance himself from it. Chicken.

When a caller asks a question, Broaddus jumps to extreme conclusions and says "So, what you are saying is ..." when that is not the question at all. Listening is not a strong point.

Love Nate but he is hard to listen to at times

You have to decipher when Nate really knows what he's talking about or when he acts like he knows but doesn't have a clue.

Nate knows football but he thinks his strength is everything just because he played the game so if you listen to him enough you know when to ignore his opinion.

It gets to be too much when Nate is unnecessarily yelling all the damn time. It appears he has good insight but it is difficult for him to formulate coherent thoughts most of the time.

Taylor on the Break is annoying, but she has a lot of player access.

Break. Like everyone on it, perfect chemistry. Talkin Cowboys is ok, would be better if Helman was with them.

Bro I can't listen to Nate for a long period of time I start counting how many times he says I tell people this here smh

I actually liked On Air with DC Star when they had Josh Ellis and Helman. I actually really like listening to Ellis is small doses. An hour of his snark makes treadmill time go faster.

Taylor is just an insufferable millennial and messes up the flow. I understand her role...she's there to offer a youthful/comedic take on the Cowboys (Social Media style content), but if you swapped Taylor Stern out for David Helmann (who's just as 'hip' with social media, has actual football knowledge, and understands the flow of progressing a show), then the Cowboy's Break would be perfect. Well, perfect would be for it to be 1.5hrs.
Please Santa make this happen.

I'm surprised again so many people dislike Tay. She's fine, she's learned a lot and very knowledgeable. Better her than the lady that was on Talkin Cowboys...she was brutal. Had no opinion because she didn't know anything. Plus she has chemistry with the other three.
Let's be honest here, all she does is regurgitate Broaduses' takes and makes it seem like she thought of them all by herself. She constantly says dumb things on the show and the crew just corrects her and moves on. However, whenever people call in to the show they destroy their takes.

I really don't get the severe dislike for Taylor. I think some of y'all don't remember the laughable contributions these shows got from previous female hosts.

One female host from years ago could have been accused of taking drugs. I could have sworn she was medicated. It was back when the show was called the Lunch Break and was about 10 or so years ago.

There's not all that much difference between the two shows. Talking Cowboys I like because I do like Nate Newton, and because Micky's disgust for most fans (and their reaction to him) is amusing.

The Break has more football content, but not that much more. It bugs me that Broaddus misses the thread of other people's arguments about half the time and steamrolls over some dumb point they're not actually making. Taylor was absolutely unlistenable for the first year. It was painful sitting there listening to her mangle a planted football point that Brian obviously spoon fed her in the planning meeting for the show. She has learned a lot about football really quickly, though, to the point where she's tolerable now. Lindsay Draper is a lot better, though.
