It's usually pretty good about anything but Dak. He hates Dak for some reason. No idea why but he does. He will never give anything better than a B grade for Dak even in his best games. Still I don't know how anyone could call that coverage cover 2. The free safety directly in the middle of the field at the snap and the SS is three yards in front of him.

See for yourself:

At the snap you see the free safety bail completely out of the picture and the SS and slot corner also both retreat.

Then at the point of the throw you can clearly see that the SS breaks on the ball and that CD has plenty of time to cut across his face.

More importantly if he does and he catches it in stride he might be still running. Worst case he only has one man to beat for the TD.

Most damning to me is that he's not even looking for the ball. It's friggin 3rd and 10 and you're the #1 receiver!!! You ALWAYS gotta be looking for the ball.

Ronnie, honest question, did you watch the video?

He clearly explains the coverage in the video. It was cover-2 look on one side and cover 4 on the other. On top of his ipad it clearly shows post snap cover 6.

It clearly says cover 6 on his ipad!

And he was on the players lounge with Barry Church and they both said it was a cover 6.

28:00 mark

“They ran cover-2 on one side and cover-4 on the other side”

Also, he flat out said this WASNT what happened against Chicago

It wasn't totally the same because as he said GB disguised it well and it confused Ceedee. That's why Dak throwing the dig was the correct read because if he throws the post it's a pick. Which is what he said.

I am getting that. I never said anything about Dak. Isaiah clearly said IF Ceedee ran the IN it wouldve been completed.

What I am saying is he ran the route correctly BY Rule according to Isaiah. Thats what Mike, Olsen etc. arent mentioning

That's the sight adjustment Ceedee has to make. Ceedee fell for the disquise...lol

I get why Ceedee did it. But you're suppose to be a number 1 and be able to make quick decisions especially on option routes

I have the game saved.. I pulled the play up and have watched it probably 20 times. Before the ball was snapped it was single safety high I don't care what Isaiah says. I have eyes I can see for myself. I can think of no reason for Kellen Moore, Mike McCarthy and everybody who was down on the field to claim it was one thing when it was another. It's not like they will get the ball back if they blame CD. The main thing is that if Lamb comes across the ball hits him between the 8's or the safety has to interfere to stop him from catching the ball. The ball ends up right where it needs to be. If it was thrown over the top the SS keep retreating and the FS converges from the backside and makes it an even more difficult pass to complete. Any other analysis is just somebody trying to drive their own agenda. The ball was tipped but it still ended up right where it needed to be. If only the receiver had done likewise.

It wasn't a cover 2 look...that is what his first picture showed.

Stop reciting Stanbach like he is some football wizard...he isn't.

Also, if Ceedee was right, why is the safety in front of him as he breaks on the ball in Ronnie's last pic?

This isn't hard bud.

So you are blindly putting words in the guys mouth that he didnt even say..

Why even comment in here if you arent even going to debate what he is saying in the video?

How the heck can anyone know if the routes were supposed to be adjusted for coverage or if the wrs are supposed to run the same route no matter what? End of the day, Dak threw 2 INTs. Never seen so many apologists for a QB playing poorly.
It is football 101. If you have not completed this course yet, then it explains a lot of your takes.

Grow up

There is literally an “analyst” that was a professional that played this game that explains what I just said in the OP.

Dan Orlovsky also played in the NFL and said it was Daks fault.
And, more said it wasn’t…but, you only believe the ones that support YOUR view. Even McCarthy said it was CeeDee, but, as you would say, he’s OBVIOUSLY covering for Dak. But, yeah, I’m the one that needs to grow up.

If Cee Dee was supposed to cross the face of the defender it was his fault.

It's also Dak's and the Coaches fault that him, Cee Dee and Shultz are not on the same page in Nov coming off a bye week.

Ummm.. maybe because nearly all routes in the modern NFL are supposed to be adjusted based on coverage?

Just a SWAG ... The Cowboys literally have a play in their playbook called "Y-option" which is the play Witten made famous. On that play the TE literally has about a dozen routes he can run based on the coverage he sees.

Also Dak made a couple of poor plays.. however overall he did not play poorly.. You know.. the whole 3 TD passes and 28 points and a 14 point lead entering the 4th quarter with an allegedly good defense thing?

Dak needs to see things more clearly for sure but you can't give him 100% of the blame if the receivers run the wrong routes or poor routes. However, on the first INT, Dak should have seen the play was messed up and thrown it out of the end zone. Take the 3 points and kick off.
