Funny how the timeframe for the recovery changes by the poster. Can @Doc50 or another Doctor chime in? I absolutely destroyed my shoulder last August. Broke multiple bones and severed the ligaments but at this point, I could still punch an eagles fan or play football if I wasn't an aging guy. Just don't know about the labrum repair.

I tore my rotator cuff and labrum. Had surgery and was actually worse. Had a 2nd surgery approx. 6 months later at the Hospital for Special Surgeries in NYC. The Dr. who did surgery #2 works on the Mets, Knicks and Giants players. Was much better compared to the 1st surgery. 12 years later and the shoulder still bothers me and I have limitations. I did tear it up pretty bad and couldn't even list my arm over my head. I guess it all depends on the person and the severity for the injury. I will say I am older as well and I would have willed myself to punch an Eagles fan lol.

Are you telling me that if you could possibly guarantee yourself three times your salary, you'd be willing to risk losing it? Signing the franchise tag would be a last-ditch option when he stands to benefit much more from working out a deal. He knows he's got 20.5 million, so that's his safety net. You don't use the safety net, though, before you need to.

Cousins would be on a 3rd tag which would be about 1.5 times the cost of the previous tag. That would have been roughly 34 million.

I have read that Dallas hasn't had a good pass rusher since D. Ware. Not sure if they are aware that after cutting D. Ware they drafted Lawrence. He was injured his 1st year, but had a big sack in the WC game against the Lions. Dealt with back issues and a suspension. Dallas did well replacing Ware and did it with a 2nd round pick.

After banking 17m last year I would have no worries about signing the tag for another 20.5m and getting the surgery back weeks ago

37m is the amount of cash he would get over 13 months on any longterm deal

He is being a diva...... he will still be an UFA at the end of the year..... the risk of career ending surgery is minimal and he could get a 20m insurance policy for 1m

Honestly, $20.5M is as high they should go, with no more than 60% guaranteed money. I'd also make a good portion of it incentive-based due to him never making it out of a season without injuries.

And all I said was I hate guys who don't read the entire post. Because I never implied that my situation is the standard. In fact I pointed out everybody is different as is every injury. I typed from my experience(s). Someone asked what the typical recovery time is on a labral repair. Again, I can't speak for anybody else, so I gave mine. Hate is a strong word on my part, so I will say "I don't care". If I dislike a post, I move along and "no comment". I am not that uptight of a person.
