How are we supposed to know what he said right there?
Why would he say anything other than I’m reporting as an eligible receiver. Uh, hey ref they have good corndog out front. That’s far fetched. As far as I know the refs are moved up too. I will say normally they announce it on the PA as 68 is reporting as an eligible wr, but in today’s game they just flip to some commercial. Complete nonsense, the Cowboys should not accept that win.

And P.S. - I don’t really care whether he reported or not. We’ve been jobbed so many times by the refs that it’s fine with me.

11-5, one more regular season game to play. Go Go Cardinals/Giants.

The only thing that matters is who did the ref announce as eligible before the play? If it was only #70 then the Lions should have heard that.

It looks like the refs messed up and gifted us a win.

I know right. Dak played a good game AND we got help from the refs. I have no idea what I’m going to talk about all week.

I mean I guess I can talk about my toxic ex or my German shepherd or something.

Anyway I’m happy with the win and pretty pumped.

Go Cowboys!
It was no break. 68 was an ineligible receiver. If you look at the video, there is another receiver to his left. Therefore, only the receiver to his left can be eligible.

Why does it matter anyway if it was illegal
Formation.

If the refs allow the td and that’s allows to stand not a peep out of the media

Exactly. If you declare someone eligible the defense gets a heads up. No masking allowed. The Lions sent three players over to try and confuse the refs into allowing one of the 3 players to catch the ball.
The explanation I heard was they did that to confuse the Cowboys so they wouldn't be sure who is eligible, but apparently all it did was confuse the refs, maybe the ref screwed up or one or both players screwed up since we can't be 100% on what was said. They tried to get tricky with their formation and got burned.

2 people went over there without saying anything.

Thirdly, did anyone see a replay on 89s tripping call? He seemed none to pleased.

Plus Campbell got cute in the first quarter flushed a sure FG down the toilet instead goes for a TD 4th and goal from the 5 and Goff throws it through the end zone . Lose by one . Should have taken the sure FG

People keep saying illegal formation where is that video?
Even if 68 reported, which the refs claim he didn’t and they certainly didn’t announce he did (which is required), If 70 reported, that is an ineligible formation.

Here the rule:
Eligible receivers must be on both ends of the line, and all of the players on the line between them must be ineligible receivers

70 says he reported, and if so, he was an eligible receiver lined up an ineligible spot.

Yes if linemen are eligible receivers they have to tell the refs. The ref then announces it over the mic that number 68 and 70 are reporting eligible. They only announced 70. So either he did not report, or the ref missed it. Had they announced it, he would have been accounted for.
What is odd is that 68 is the one that definitely reported, not 70. So it was something else. What made 68s catch illegal touching?

Decker said he reported.

But that still doesn't explain why there was an illegal formation which the official missed.

And if the officials said 70 reported that's who is announced as legal.

Yeah, he walked off podium in his PC. I would too.

But he's going to have to tone down that temper. Made an emotional decision going for 2 points...not once, not twice, but three freaking times!

That don't happen in the NFL. That's a high school ball move.
You can defend the 1st attempt, but not the 2nd and 3rd attempts. Yep, he got emotional and it cost them.

They said he did not report. We don't know he definitely reported.
