Taylor Happily Redo Contract To Expedite Trade To Dallas..

Myth about Greg Ellis:

Nevermind, :D.

But I will say that Ellis doesn't create "constant" pressure. He gives occasional pressure, and then he does come up with the sack alot. However, Charles Haley was much more dangerous because he was routinely in the QB's face, although he didn't get the sack all of the time.

Taylor will be in your face all the time, causing your entire plan to go down the drain as an offense, and with Ware breathing down your neck, it could be a serious problem for QBs.

Well, it depends on how you choose to look at it, I reckon.
Would you rather chew on Roy Williams some more? Getting kinda stale ain't it? This is could turn into something- I'd still say it's more unlikely than not but less so today than Friday.

nono - like i said he's this weeks bone and hey, something new and different.

i'll revel in that for now. : )

Here we go.

Hos please tell me u remember me saying this a few months ago.I dont feel like looking for it.lol.

Taylor for Ellis? Grab a pen before Parcells changes his mind.

I suppose the really big question is whether or not JT can play OLB in a 3-4. I doubt he would come here to be a DE in the 3-4.

A lot of people here are just kind of assuming he can play outside. If he can, great, I'm on board. I'm just not sure he can. I doubt it's as easy as it looks, especially for a 34 year old.

It doesnt make any sense.

The only way I would want him, is if we kept ellis and had 4 legit pass rushers.

How does swapping one player for a better player not make any sense?

I don't have a clue about what the Cowboys should do. Ellis sure looked good to me last year. When was the last time, if ever, our 2 OLBs (or 2 DEs in th 43) had double digist sacks. On the other hand, Breer in his analysis of our loss to the Giants said Spencer played much better against the run then did Ellis & was even better against the run then was Ware.

Besides I don't care what Taylor did back in 2006 & doubt the Cowboys do either. If they are interested & I wouldn't bet on it, they'll do their homework & study ever game Taylor played in last year & grade it out very carefully.

Finally, Parcells initially wanted a first rounder for Taylor; also heard the Jax offered a 2nd rounder for him but were turned down. I just don't see Parcells trading away Taylor for Ellis--although Parcells would probably prefer Ellis now given his relationship with Taylor. Also Parcells might want to pony up a few more bucks for Ellis. However, I really don't think this trade gets down--certainly not an even swap & no way do I want us to trade away a draft pick. Those picks were accumulated by Jerry to be able move around the in 09 specifically to a WR either in a trade/FA or thru the draft.

Sure sounds like the good old days though when everybody who was anybody wanted to become a Cowboy. Got Pacman, got Thomas, WR RWilliams wants play here even think CJ included Cowboys on teams he'd like play for & now maybe even Jason Taylor.

This is nuts but fun to discuss.

When the players don't play the same position.

Hos gotta admit i called this months ago.thats "if" it happens.

Ok.. BP doesn't want older players, so nix the Greg Ellis idea..

If you want JT, it's going to cost you a draft pick or a young player..

Some options:
Jason Hatcher
Bobby Carpenter
Chris Canty
Marcus Spears

Which one do you want to trade?

I think it makes a ton of sense for Cowboys, Taylor, Ellis and the Dolphins.

You don't have the energy, or I don't?

I really don't remember that you predicted that. I believe you. No reason not to. I like giving you cheese, but you're no liar.

i guess taylor is this weeks "bone" for people to grip on and talk about.

Who is "griping?"

Jason Taylor is a better football player than Greg Ellis. Before last season everyone on this board would have begged for this trade at any point in the last 10 years.

If they can make it happen and make the cap numbers work, you get the better football player.

This isn't a knock on anyone or the team, its an evaluation and an opportunity if we could make it happen.

If it doesn't I'm certainly not going to whine about it either, Ellis is still a fine player. Taylor is just better.
