Team should not pick up Byron Jones option

He ain't nothing, never been nothing. We wasted the pick lets be honest. We got to excited about a workout at the combine that was off the charts. Lots of combine warriors never did much in the pro's.

Byron Jones has his screw ups but people are overeating, he is definitely an above average safety.
He covers a lot for the SS mistakes..what good is a strong safety if he can't tackle? That's like having a quarterback with elephantiasis in his throwing arm.

This excuse that he is being held back by everyone else just doesn't fly anymore. Above average players show flashes of brilliance. He hasn't shown me that he has a high ceiling. In 3 years he hasn't had a single coverage interception. That is mind boggling.

If this team picks up his 5th yr option, I will be done with this franchise. I haven't missed a game in 18 years, I haven't missed a preseason game in 15 years. I grew up in the shadows of Texas Stadium. If they continue to invest in his scrub, I will be done. Simple as that. I can't support soft football.

I’m with you, but then u would have to watch Heath play mother year.

If Jones can really only sometimes shutdown TEs. Do we really want him out there at CB?

I think the idea would be since Jones struggles in space allow him to man up on the edge and simplify his coverage responsibilities. Is it the answer? Who knows?
