A trophy that lasts forever. Folks will remember that trophy much longer then remembering they sucked the following year.

right. nobody WANTS to be awful, but many would gladly trade it for a title

The Rams are the worst defending champion in NFL history.
Agree. They are awful this season. Pretty much mortgaged their future to win it all last season. As much as I would love to see the Cowboys win it all this season, it would also suck if they were uncompetitive the following season.

As opposed to winning nothing in 27 years….

and they did.
A super bowl.
but just that 1.
How many SBs have we won when we’ve had to build a team fully within the salary cap/ free agency era?
The Rams have won 2 SBs since we last went to the NFC Championship game.

Good topic thread . Nice to get away from what OBJ had for breakfast and what plane he held up for being an idiot .

When I see that list what strikes me as teams in the top 10 is the Rams picking so high . That’s a novelty that they even have a first rounder . Second is how high the Packers are picking . That division they are is wide open they can climb right back into NFC contention with a solid draft of high picks .

I mentioned in this very illustrious forum last year pre draft Christian Watson as a big fast target for Dak as a possible first rounder and was scoffed at . He seems like a nice DaVonte Adams thanks for the memories target for Mr Rodgers neighborhood .

we've won 5 in our entire history.
the los angeles rams have won...1.
i don't believe the way they did it is a model to be copied.
just my opinion.

Actually yeah you’re right. It’s not like they were even the best team last year.

And funnily enough, one of their big time trades almost lost them the game, but they were lucky that they drafted an all time great player in Aaron Donald.

Ramsey got torched by Chase, and if not for Donald, Burrow would have probably had a TD on the 4th down call.

100% they lose that game were it not for Donald or even just a little bit more clock there at the end. They weren’t going to stop them on that last drive except for a-Aron

but that rams pick goes to the lions if i'm not mistaken.
rams don't have a first rd pick.

But it worked and recently too.
How are our tactics working?
And the Rams organisation have won two SBs.
I don’t care where they were based at the time.
And they were in the SB in 2019.
27 years and counting…

i don't want to mortgage our future just to win 1 super bowl.
i'd like to see the cowboys do what they did under coach landry.
and that kinda team building doesn't happen doing what the rams did.
the rams won't be contending for a super bowl for a long time.
we have won 5 in our history...and i hope 5 more.

And when will this future actually produce something?
Another 27 years?
Well they were in the 2019 SB I wouldn’t bet against them.
You can’t build a team today the way Landry or Johnson could.
The league has changed and so has team building

The Rams are going to be awful next year as well and probably the year after that as well. They are on the verge of total collapse with no qb for their future.

We have 5. The Rams have 2. The Cowboys are good and have a good future. The Rams are awful and have a bad future going forward.

The Rams have won 2 in their entire history and have moved their franchise 3 times. They got lucky last year and their luck has run out. They aren't going to win again in a long long time. The Cowboy plan of stock piling good young players is sound and is working.
