Teddy Bridgewater just went down - Torn ACL

Again, I understand what you are saying. But, now that I'm looking at it, the Vikings actually are positioned behind the Cowboys on the waiver wire, so it should not impact them in any way...the Cowboys will still have the first choice.

I don't believe this matters. Waiver only applies to players in the league for less then 4 years, I believe. If you are interested in a Vet, which I'm guessing both teams would be, I'm guessing that waiver would not come into play.

How to go from playoff hopefuls to seeing if you pick in the top 5.

Hope it's not serious, but everything so far makes it sound bad

Not if you browse over at DC.com. They have already put Dak in the ROH and HOF. And he hasn't yet taken a single snap in a regular season game. No need for another QB when according to them Dak is going to shatter all the NFL records in his first season.

Honestly, I hope they are right. We could use it.

Of course we would all be happy to see it, but truth be known we have no idea what to expect when the provided sample has been only about 60 minutes of preseason play. If he comes out and torches the crap out of the Giants I will start paying more attention.

Man, injuries suck.

The NFL really needs to make some accommodation so that teams can develop multiple young QBs who know their systems without compromising the 53. It really hurts he product on the field when you're realistically looking at potential pre-season playoff teams playing a Showers (sorry Jameil) or a Joel Stave in a real NFL game at some point in the season.
I am surprised that this isn't already in place. Then there is the other side will say it's not fair to teams looking for QB help.

It can happen with a non contact injury one wrong move and something can go.

I understand that. It just sucks. This was supposed to be their year to make some noise too....

Man the Vikings were a darkhorse super bowl contender. Wouldn't be surprised to see them go 6-10 or 7-9 without Bridgewater. They have a really tough schedule, and while I like their defense a lot I'm not sure it's enough to push them into the playoffs.

We do play them. Maybe he and Romo will be ready at the same time and we can have the Half Chicken bowl.

I'll be paying attention either way but I don't think we are going to see the second coming of Dan Marino. I hope we do but I think we probably wont. JMO

The Texans might let Weeden go and the Vikes could get him and still win the SB.

We lost ours in a damn preseason game, maybe Dak can be our Kurt Warner. The Rams went 4-12 the year prior to winning their Super Bowl.

I'm not expecting Dan Marino either. But hopefully it isn't Ryan Leaf.

That's the kind of positive thinking we need. It can go either way and I'd rather lean towards happy happy happy

I hate it. I was ready to see Teddy + new WR + All Day finally rolling together on offense.

Admittedly, I am not sure exactly how that works...so you could be right.

It would not make a difference. Let's face it, there are barely 32 guys in the world that can play QB at a very good NFL level. If you look at the current backups the NFL has and how many of them could be successful, there really is not reason to put more on the roster - they can't play QB in the NFL anyway.
Pretty much. It is not as much about development as it is about supply. Look at the Canadian QBs. Only a handful that ever come down to the NFL can handle it.

If everyone wants something positive no rookie QB has ever lead a team to the Super Bowl. It's going to happen someday why not this year? Lol
