We would be just downright disrespectful to Murray. He's 27 and we rode him like a mule to the playoffs and then we toss him aside to pick up a 30 year old who hasn't played in over a year. AD is an all time great back. But he isn't invincible. What's the guarantee that he's in top form this season? Why can't the Cowboys pony up and pay Murray 6mil/yr (no more than that).

It's destined to happen.

We'll be playing Madden every week.

I just hope Peterson has some mileage left. I think he does.

Man, this will have me counting the days for the start of the season.

What if we send Murray a Just Because card after we sign AP?

It's not a matter of if but when it happens.

I can't wait until someone makes a montage with this song :star:

Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, had to be separated from Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski in a confrontation that took place in front of outside parties, according to sources.

Mark Dominik, the former general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and an ESPN analyst, separated Dogra and Brzezinski, according to sources.

CBSSports.com reported the incident earlier Monday.

The confrontation with Brzezinski was not the only exchange that Dogra had with executives and other agents during the combine, according to sources.

I just don't want a Herschel Walker type trade...Would be just like Minny to want a do over for our dynasty in the 90's...

If we can get ad for 3 years 15 million. Who wouldn't want that. Guy is the best back in the league. MURRAY who I like a lot is not in his league. We can't be homers constantly. I like Demarco but whoever gives this team the best chance to win the super bowl I want. I can't let go that fumble in the playoffs against the pack. That was our downfall for that game not Dez catch.

Minn still owns his rights and is not going to let him walk for nothing. They may choose to trade him if he does not want to be in Minn

I don't see anybody trading for him because his contract follows him to the new team. I don't see a team paying him 12.75M even if he was a free agent. I definitely don't see a team giving up a draft pick for the right to pay him 12.75M. I don't see Peterson agreeing to a pay cut to be traded when he would have more options by forcing them to cut him.

And AP does not hold the cards he is under contract and him crying is not going to change anything. Fact is the more he crys the more I don't want him in Dallas

And what do you think Peterson will do? Just deal with being in Minny and play? Hell no. Keeping him will just cause drama, he doesn't want to be there. It doesn't matter about the contract, if he doesn't want to play there, he won't play. They'll work something out where they can release him with as little damage as possible.

He's gone. Have you not read up on the Peterson story? The man is furious. I'm not 100% sure he'll be with the Cowboys next season, but he won't be with the Vikings.

great news, Now Demarco can go to the Raiders and not have to worry about fumbling in a playoff game

His agent is making doubly sure.

And it would never go down that way to begin with. If the Cowboys traded for him they would have a deal in place with Peterson's agent to renegotiate his deal before a trade was ever made. My guess would be to guarantee the $13 mill he was slated to make in Minny this season as his signing bonus over the course of say a 3 year deal with lower base salaries over the life of the contract.

Minny has 2.4M in dead space this year which is the remainder of the signing bonus of 36M they gave him. His salary cap hit this year is 15.4M. If they make him a Jun1 release then they save the salary cap hit.

So he doesn't go back to Minny this year and he isn't traded as he will be designated a Jun 1 release which means they cannot move him until the 1st. His contract stays on the books until then. He should be one of Minny's available two roster cuts designated as Jun 1 releases.

Why would a team trade for him knowing his going to be released. Wait forget Daniel Snyder will mortgage the farm to get him in a trade.:lmao:
