Terrence Williams is garbage

He definitely has had me furious on dropped balls and blown routes. I hope he can pull it together and get it right, but some of his mistakes are just about stupid stuff. Like that ball he flat out dropped, he dropped it because he tried to catch the ball with his body instead of his hands. Stuff like this should've stopped during training camp, I can live with a wrong route or two because I understand those will stop eventually.

I see the potential. But I really wished they hadn't have tried to force this so hard last night. It could have cost us more than what it did.

Harris is the better option. Big play potential be damned-- Williams has not earned half of what Harris has.

i think they are forcing it right now so that it can pay dividends this season. i do agree, harris in the slot with dez and miles on the outside right now would be more consistent but Dez, Miles, Terrence has the potential to be amazing.

He caught 2 passes for 32 yds and probably could have had 60+ yds had he not dropped a couple or ran the wrong route. Guy has all kinds of talent, just needs time. 1st game butterflies were pretty obvious with him.

That is not the same as saying this kid has NO potential, think that is what people are reacting too.

He has played one game and we now know he has no potential.

That's fair, but it's kinda one-in-the-same to me. Scratched my head at the draft pick. Scratched my head when I saw him in play. Scratching my head over the amount of playtime and focus he received in our first game with him on the roster. Are we that inept at finding a solid commodity for a 3rd WR? That's all we need- someone solid. Nothing more.

is garbage.
Didn't like the draft pick; Haven't seen anything impressive in this player. He seems awkward and below-average in basically every regard. What am I missing?

give it time. WR is an intricate position just like QB. kid has the tools. needs to learn.....dez use to make mistakes too. it took Austin 4 years.

Right now the combo of Miles, Harris, Bryant > Miles, Williams, Bryant.

and that is your view, I'm sure when they hand the coaching over to you then you can put who ever you want out there but for now both Williams and Harris will see time.

He's impressive physically. Pretty big and runs very well. His strides up out of the gate and getting up on the corner reminds me a lot of Joe Horn. I think his catching mechanics need a lot of work and he needs to get better at making more advanced hot reads. I would prefer to see Harris in there, but if Harris continues to play like he did on special teams, then I could see giving him some rest.

Not true. A few come in and do well, but the majority of rookie wide receivers go through growing pains.

You do realize he was responding to "what am I missing?" and not "how many receivers come in and do well?" don't you? How could you miss that? He bolded it and everything.

Tell me I didn't just read 2 posts comparing him to Dez Bryant.

My issue is that Harris has earned more of a role, but I think Williams and Escobar are out there soley based on draft investment - not merit. They may be the 2 All-Pro HOFers in 3 years, but they should not be taking multiple snaps away from others right now

This post is spot on.

The kid is green. No doubt about and it showed last night. But I understand why the staff want him on the field, even over Harris. I personally think Harris is very good player and has earned more PT. However, if you noticed, Harris was amazing on ST last night. He was every where doing everything. To keep him in that mold, you have to limit his snaps elsewhere. Its a tough call for sure, because I do think he could bring something to the table with snaps on the offense. Not sure we have anyone else that can be as good on teams though if we were to take him off those so he could be the # 3. We might have to if 83 doesn't pick up his game but I think the staff really wants it like it is because it makes a better overall team, if 83 can get it together quickly.

Right now, Harris is a better receiver, but Harris plays the slot, they want Miles to play the slot because no one on our team plays it like Miles who is very very effective in the slot.

They want Williams to play outside, I think they plan on giving him every chance to win that job, or course unless he does not show progress on cleaning up the rookie mistakes.

I think the kid has potential, seems to get open, last night certainly was a learning experience for him, getting yelled at on national tv. He is struggling like most rookie WR's do.

Let see how quickly he progresses, because while I do believe they want him to win the job, he can't cost us wins in the process.

I think Twill is practicing well and there is a reason he is ahead of Harris in the pecking order, that was just a huge pressure packed game for the rookie and he made a few mistakes.

IMHO, the guy will be good but needs to be spoon fed. Game # 1 in the red zone against a division opponent probably isnt the perfect spot for him.

His error last night was big- but I could excuse that if I saw significant potential in his abilities. I do not. It's a scouting/coaching/management, problem.
