Dak fans will see it one way, non Dak fans will see it another.

I am tired of hearing about it. As it creates too much animosity over real football talk.
Anyway, he is not worth over $50 million. Really not even that much. But to me no QB is.

I am glad though, and still hope they let him play out his contract, then make a decision. It seems pretty much NFFCCG / SB or bust at this point to extend him.
If they extend him before the season, then another 4 years of them passing on a really good QB in the draft. And then what if more failure in the playoffs.
Then they will be in the same situation, where the deal is most likely backloaded. Then another huge cap hit.
There is only one QB playing currently that could argue he is worth that much and it is not Dak

Maybe it's just me but it appears Dak has stronger support outside of Cowboy Nations. It is rare for a team to allow its franchise QB's contract to reach its final year........, especially w/o a trade and/or franchise tag options. Unless they are preparing to move on.......

Meanwhile, Terry smirks when Dallas under performs and he has openly discussed their inability to make the next step. Classic fence position Bradshaw.

These talking head make me laugh. Sure, they say stuff like this now, but when Jerry gives Dak $60 million or more they will say he isn't worth it and criticize Jerry for giving him too much money. This is what they do because they talk and move on. They never have to worry about the consequences of their decisions.

We are all critical of Jerry and Stephen so there is no sense beating a dead horse. But I do think if they have decided to re-sign him they should get on with it. If they have decided not to re-sign him then they should cut ties now and move on. These delays with Dak, CeeDee and even Micah to a certain extent, are never fruitful.

IMO, being decisive is good leadership. Get their bottom line numbers and then decide if it makes sense to pay them. If not, say goodbye and trade them. I know Dak has a no trade clause but something tells me he would waive it under certain circumstances. The important thing is, if Dak is not the future in Dallas, then the future should begin now. No sense playing in in 2024 knowing he will be gone in 2025. Just make it happen. This should have happened a month before the draft.

...I guess Terry didnt watch the GB game.

Any team would be playing the cowboy tune at this point.

During the season Dak is the rage. Then when it counts, he fizzles out.

Prescot has always had strong support outside of this organization right up to the point where the Boys lose in the 1st rd of the playoffs, at which point many of those experts start questioning Prescot's abilities to get this team to the next level. They'll question Prescot right up to the start of the Voluntary workouts, then they'll all jump back onto the Prescot bandwagon and ride it strong right up to the point where the Cowboys lose another 1st rd playoff game and then the cycle starts over and over again and over and over, well you get point.............LOL!

I had the "bleep you" ready for the Div game but Dak on cue had me saying it again vs the Packers.
Gotta love that Daktrash baby!!!!
Any time anyone says anything positive about Dak, it brinks out the trolls. They just can’t stand any kind of positivity when it comes to the QB.

Let another team make a huge mistake. He’s getting 60 million per year from someone. If Dallas doesn’t sign him, I’m thinking Vegas or Seattle.

Yeah, Dak sucks at stopping the run game. I don’t see how they put up with that. And running between the tackles? Fagit about it.

I don't see this at all........I mean what's different between now and the start of the season? There isn't a drop-dead deadline until the start of 2025 free agency. In other words, why would Dak give up all his leverage and chance at free agency by signing before next year?
Injury risk.

Who’s going to be the QB in 2024 then?

Wasn't the same thing said about Dak when he signed his last deal? He's not worth top qb money? But he's out of the top 8 paid qbs right now. There's no way Dak isn't considered at least top 6. What I dint understand is how all these teams are giving into every qb setting the market every time.

Maybe this is why Dak doesn’t have a new contract yet. Jerry trying to reset the QB market downwards a bit.

Make it incentive based:
35 mil guaranteed turns into 45 mil with a divisional round victory turns into 55 mil with a conference championship....
and then I woke up. lol
