I would have fired the GM for not firing the HC for not firing the new play caller.
...CC, is that one of those 60's catch 22 phrases? Could have sworn, The Byrds have something along those lines. ;)..

Lol Browns hung 49 pts on us and we're not doing a thing. This is what OBrien lost to.

because our staff is brand new 4 games in ok,,

BO had 6-7 years and Texans dont like what they see..and? is that hard to comprehend hes their Garett and he made some horrible trades and overpaid some players to boot as gM..

this situation doesnt correlate with our current situation..you are an idiotic if you think they are the same..

new staff ,no off season, no preseason games, 70% player turnover and scheme on defense injuries' etc 4 games in you try to fix it no ones being fired..

Almost like ours lol. We are a prayer away from 0-4. A very very very lucky onside kick saved us.
..the irony in all this, we should be 3-1. But shooting yourselves in the foot, leads to not walking correct.

That's what I don't get. His punishment should've been to have him coach this team and take his GM title. These guys are the worst team in the league which means....Miami is on track to be picking with the 1st pick in the draft. They don't even have a 1st or 2nd round pick to get better.
the jets might have that honor

Mike Nolan is available for an interview immediately for the Texans’ HC. Act now and we will throw in a 7th rounder and unlimited yacht rides.

Thinking about it, you can have McCarthy, Nolan, and Lawrence as a package deal. I’ll throw in Jaylon Smith to sweeten the pot. And I’ll give you $25M in cash along with your own room in the yacht.

One thing is for sure -- there's never a dull moment when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys and their ongoing fortunes.

It should be a bonified adventure to take notice of the happenings this season and beyond. It'll definitely be dramatic.

His free agent acquisitions have not been great.

Benson Mayowa?
Nolan Carroll?
Cedric Thornton?
Gerald McCoy?
Dontari Poe?
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix?

As you critique these acquisitions remember who his boss (Stephan) is and the new philosophy his boss has bought to team. The signings your mentioning are bargain bin signings. I mean, if your boss tells you to go out and find the cheapest help you can find...

If you want to truly judge McClay you judge him by how he has evaluated talent in the draft imo and McClay’s drafting has been terrible in recent years.

Let him go.

So overrated by this fan base.

and before someone says "Teams wanted him a few years ago"

Teams wanted Kris Richard as a head coach 2 years ago... Now he's out of football.

Only because Richard wanted to be out of football . Reports were Nolan wanted to retain Richard as DB coach but he apparently refused.

How can you overrate or underrate McClay when you have no idea what he does? You can pretend like you do but you have no clue.
He runs the draft board.

And it seems like the Cowboys greatest successes in the draft came at offensive line when Callahan was hire.

Anyone talking about being ok w getting rid of McClay needs to also be ok with Jerry running the drafts on his own, and listening to people like Barry Switzer for advice.

The problem here is the department that needs to exist along with the amateur personnel department is the pro personnel department....which is headed by none other than Jerry and his bargain minded kid....who shouldn't be anywhere NEAR those kind of decisions.

Another problem in Dallas....they listen to the coaching staff on drafting all too often because they arent qualified to make those decisions on their own.

Everyone can point all the fingers they like...but you have two very unqualified idiots running this team....and THATS the reason its run into the ground.

Listening to Stephen Jones, maybe it's not gonna be long before the Jones insist on McCarthy firing his DC Mike Nolan
and promoting George Edwards to DC.

From sound of his voice tone, i get the feeling they are pretty irritated embarrassed and impatient to see this continue. ..

Also, the damage is done. Trading away a top 5 WR for a run of the mill injured RB and now you don't have 1st rd picks for 2 years has ruined this team. It has also exposed Watson.

Houston will not recover from what BOB did for a very long time.
