That 5th round pick for Amari Cooper was OT Waletzko, was it not?Not really.
Cooper is gone, and Cooks is here, plus we save $8 mill, and we got Bland in the draft as well.

Darnell freakin’ Washington. I hope he’s still there at #26.cooks is 5'10". Id like a big guy to go up in red zone to battle 1 on 1. That aint lamb, that aint cooks... Gallup hs shown he can, bt again, at 6'1" he isnt going to physically dominate.
We all know why Cooper was traded, it had nothing to do with his contract or performance on the field....It was personal because Jerry didn't like the fact he didn't get some shot in his arm that we were all lied to about and he wasn't some ruh ruh guy like an Irvin, he was cerebral and played Chess instead of hanging out in strip bars....If it was his contract, they could have renegotiated it to create cap money like they've done to at least a handful of player this offseason...
Maybe, I thought it was for Bland, or that was what I seen posted on here many times. That 5th round pick for Amari Cooper was OT Waletzko, was it not?
potentially. especially after pollard went down. having another playmaker definitely increases our odds. What golden opportunity? Do you think Cooper was the difference as getting past SF?
Well you’re a fricken Eagles fan so of course you would make a take like this. You really think Cowboys fans are really stupid don’t you? I must admit, many Zoners are stupid, but there’s a good group of us who understand what the likes of you bring to this board.Curious as to what this means for Gallup.
And now McCarthy has stated he’d like to run a bit more, but does that mean Cooks is going to eat up a lot of Lamb’s targets? Everywhere Cooks has produced he’s been overwhelmingly the #1 receiver. I don’t think you’re gonna pay him 12m$ to get 650 receiving yards, so someone is getting the short end of the stick there.
No sense even arguing over Bijan who has at best a 15% chance of being available at 26. He could easily go inside the top 20.This board explodes when a player farts the wrong direction ......... Bijan is a stud and would be well worth 26.
Cedric Wilson can’t hold Brandin Cooks’ jock strap…hopefully you’re just recognizing their ability to line up in different spots.Think of it this way, people within the organization regretted the release of Cedric Wilson. Cooks is Ced Wilson 3.0!
At least that’s my silver lining. He can play inside and out.
Texans paying 6 Mill of it...Isn't he due 18.5 million this season? Seems a little steep, so I hope there's a restructure.
He’s been in some odd places. We know the Pats don’t care to retain players at big salaries. Texans wanted him but he didn’t want to be there. Rams wanted him but after trading for Ramsey they had to move a high salary guy and they were deep at receiver. They had Woods and Kupp.I like acquiring the talent, but I'm leery of his simply for that fact. Why do teams go and get him, and then soon thereafter want to dump him?
You really can’t make this stuff up.I put Brees, Brady, and Goff in the same sentence as those were Cooks' QB's the first 6 years of his career....and I agree Carr and Prescott are better than Mills....but I guess you simply failed to see my point that Cooks had better QB's early in his career than Cooper had when comparing their cumulative stats.
Cooks is a wr so idk what u mean bout rbsI know that...but is he really worth top 3-5 money in a world where running backs are no longer considered must haves? There are a lot of good running backs making about 5-6m a year.
Nuk is a better player but has played 19 games in 2 years and cost 19.4M this year. He said he'd restructure that out but that 19M would eventually hit the cap.100% some common sense needs to be used instead of these emotional outburst for blown expectations. ive said all week no way we pay OBJ what hes asking no way we actually trade a 2 for a WR and pick up 18mil left on their deals when we weren't looking for #1 we are looking for a 2a type..
if fans took the time to go do a carer comp Cooper vs Cooks they find very similar career productions wise. fatc coop is on his 3rd team so hes been traded a lot as well.
LOL!! You keep responding to my posts...you're following me! Stop stalking.I literally said that in the post you responded to. Here it is again.
"But then you come in with a stupid (off topic) comment. Then I follow that up with a stupid (off topic) comment, then, and then, and on, and on.......
You clearly aren't seeing what I'm saying.
(now we're into the "then, and then, and on, and on" portion of the show....)
You think your some kind of leader. Ok then..... LEAD.
whose NUk?Nuk is a better player but has played 19 games in 2 years and cost 19.4M this year. He said he'd restructure that out but that 19M would eventually hit the cap.
And I am not a fan of credit card cap spending on a WR2.
OBJ is years beyond his peak and not really in the Cooks category.
He'd be a good WR3 at 7-8M a year with only yar 1 GTD.
Cooks and Amari have very similar numbers over the last 7 years.
Good but not elite WRs.
Dallas gets that player at just over half the cost of what Amari was owed.
Cap hit in 2023 now:
Cooks: 12.3M 20th highest WR cap hit.
Cooper: 23.7M cap hit. 3rd highest WR cap hit.
...and you always think you are the thought police so how about just shutting the pie hole. You think that’s a surprise coming from you? You are always whining.
DHop college nickname.whose NUk?
agree on the rest, we are on the same page there. fans upset over the draft compensation and losing Cooper should be happy we flipped the script and back at square one..
Really? What do you call your comments you hypocrite:Wow, always so mean.
You think that’s a surprise coming from you? You are always whining.I'd rather draft a young guy can't stand this little crap old WR junk.
