Can't challenge under 2 mins but it was clearly a catch. Always had control and took a few steps.
I never bought into refs/NFL setting up games but I believe they were doing their best for a Giants win. The SB is in NY this year and they don't want them out of contention IMO. There were too many suspicious calls and non-calls.
Under the new rules, that was an incomplete pass. Under the new rules, Butch Johnson's Super Bowl TD catch would have been an incomplete pass.
Fortunately, it didn't cost us the game.
Correct me if I'm wrong but within 2 minutes a questionable play is automatically reviewed. What was that mess??? Home cooking..
It was not a catch, no matter how much you guys want it to be. You have to control the ball all the way through the process unless you made a "football move" and secured posession before hitting the ground (which he did not)
They have to fix this weak arse rule!!! Then fair catch interference isn't inforced yardage wise if he muffs the punt first!!!???? This league, this league, this league!! & Coughlin gets to pick up his flag without losing a challenge & timeout!!! What is going on here?

Looked like he had control until he hit the ground so don't understand why it wasn't a catch....
Thanks to the refs we had to beat the giants twice.

Must have control THROUGH hitting the ground.
