Ok I didn't know that. Why the hell didn't the booth look at it then? It wasn't like it was a clear drop.

Really poor officiating in this game. The refs did their best and the douchebags still lost! Luv it!

I never bought into refs/NFL setting up games but I believe they were doing their best for a Giants win. The SB is in NY this year and they don't want them out of contention IMO. There were too many suspicious calls and non-calls.

Can't challenge under 2 mins but it was clearly a catch. Always had control and took a few steps.

I agree. He started to run with the ball. I was screaming my head off! I am soooo glad we won but I am still very disappointed in the officiating. Piss poor.

they kept one drive alive due to the hit on the dufus QB, ignored a PI on Williams and took away a fumble recovery deep in their own territory due to the WR tripping over his own feet. My god what a terrible bunch of calls.

Correct me if I'm wrong but within 2 minutes a questionable play is automatically reviewed. What was that mess??? Home cooking..

It was not a catch, no matter how much you guys want it to be. You have to control the ball all the way through the process unless you made a "football move" and secured posession before hitting the ground (which he did not)

Under the new rules, that was an incomplete pass. Under the new rules, Butch Johnson's Super Bowl TD catch would have been an incomplete pass.

Fortunately, it didn't cost us the game.

ok. At least review it!

or how about when tom coughlin threw the challenge flag, but didn't actually challenge anything. He just mouthed off to the officials, so in essence, he gets a free time out and no penalty?

Nope. The guy in the booth decides if it gets reviewed or not. Essentially, there are two different standards of review depending on when in the game the play occurs. The system is totally bogus.

They have to fix this weak arse rule!!! Then fair catch interference isn't inforced yardage wise if he muffs the punt first!!!???? This league, this league, this league!! & Coughlin gets to pick up his flag without losing a challenge & timeout!!! What is going on here?

You're telling me you trust the officials on the field to get it right in today's NFL. Again, at least review it. They allowed Coughlin to challenge a play and change his mind.

Looked like he had control until he hit the ground so don't understand why it wasn't a catch....

Who really understands the rules anymore? It seems like they make them up as they go along at time.

He did make a football move. Garrett even said that he called the timeout because he expected the replay official to buzz down because it was a catch.

He took at least two steps after the catch and kept control until after he hit the ground.
