It was not a catch, no matter how much you guys want it to be. You have to control the ball all the way through the process unless you made a "football move" and secured posession before hitting the ground (which he did not)

He slid 2 yards on the ground with possesion. It was a catxh

If we were going to call a time out why not challenge the catch by Dez anyway? I just don't get that. He clearly made the catch and started to run with the ball. What do you guys think?

Couldn't challenge it because it was inside two minutes. All replays in the last two minutes of halves must be booth initiated.

I'll tell u what I know. He possessed the ball and took 3 steps. Anything else after that regarding the tackle means nothing to me. By rule, 3 steps is clear possession. They tried to screw us and it blew up in their faces. I do wonder why Red didn't make a bigger deal of the whole thing.

It depends on whether or not those steps were "football moves" or "part of the process of going to the ground." Ah hell, I don't know. All I know, is that the Wizard of Oz up in the booth deemed it unworthy of sending the ref under the hood. Totally bogus.....

I'm not buying that crap. I counted three steps before he went to the ground so all this controlling to the ground didn't matter. The ball was possessed.

then that means it was a fumble by DEZ.....if DEZ wants to be elite he needs play like he is elite.....hang on to the ball.,,,and make the play....yes, he had good stats but also had some horrible drops and crazy 20yd fumbles.....if you want to be compared to Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitz, Aj Green, Demarius Thomas and others he needs to play like he belongs in the same conversation... Not sure I would break the bank to resign Dez at this point,,,,and i stress at this point....a wr with back issues and fumblitis is replaceable....ask mile's austin, mike wallace and other replaceable wr's.....love the heck out of Dez..... but he had a opportunity to step up and show up.....yes he was like 9 for 102yds... but again...he was good, but not as advertised....good game by Dez but maybe a little pressure will push him to step up, stop fumbling and become elite

Not sure how many times Romo targeted dez but would be interested in the numbers?

there were 4 plays that were completely blown by the refs, and all four went against the Cowboys.
1. the play they called a penalty on Carr for illegal contact, Carr didn't even touch him. We recovered a fumble on that play.
2. the challenge that Coughlin called when he had nothing to challenge. Should have been a 15 yard penalty.
3. the non call for pass interference on Dez, that was clearly PI.
4. the reception by Dez at the end of the game.

Fox and NFL also need to explain why the hell I missed most of the 1st quarter of the nationally broadcasted Americas game of the week for the vikes and packers OT crap. A game that nobody outiside those two states gave a damn about!!

Are you in Detroit or Chicagoland?

That could've potentially been a game changer, but thankfully it didn't effect the outcome for us. Terrible officiating on the refs, not just for Dallas, but for both sides.

Not sure where you're going with the soliloquy. He possessed the ball and took 3 clear steps. Then he was tackled. Had they done their jobs and reviewed it, we would have had the ball 1st & goal on the 6.

The ground can not cause a fumble. It was a catch and down by contact. Not sure how this is still being debated honestly.

It's not a fumble. Ball comes loose after his knees are down.

if he would of held on to the ball it would not of been a issue....you want to be elite...play like our elite...hang on to the ball
