Robert Kraft should have someone like yourself as an advocate on the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Board of Selectors. It would be likely he would be looking out of the Hall from the inside years ago instead of still being on the outside looking in.

I am the literal type, so I would suggest modifying the question instead to 'Why don't you care about winning championships?' That may attract more than a static reply.

He was desperate when he brought in Parcells. The team was a complete mess and getting worse by the day.

I do care. They are good. They have 25 wins in the last 2 years and are on their way to another outstanding season. They are a contender. I'm very excited.
 
Jerry didn't blow that NFC championship game against the 49ers. Look elsewhere to point the finger.
 
95' was a LONG time ago...

Jimmy has not done ANY damage since then and his fingerprints are all over 3 of 5 of JJ' trophy's.

The other two he bought.

In 30-40 years when the heirs to the Jones fortune are running things,
Dallas will eventually win another SB and the Jones family will issue a
statement saying they are proud of their accomplishments and
throughout all the strife from the fans and the media they just glad
they finally won doing things grandpa Jerry's way.

It wasn’t Jerry who threw 3 early interceptions to fall behind by 17 points in the first 5 minutes of the game against San Francisco. That was Aikman.

If you want to hate Jerry, that’s your business. But you don’t have a right to ignore the actual facts of what happened.

Was watching old highlights and this is a message board so kinda thought this was the place to discuss. So everything was Jerrys fault except for Jimmy, LOL, got it. Even Jerrys wife said it was Jerry and if only he put his ego aside, end of story.

Would he have had that Walker trade to have as the catalyst? No, but he was already of that mind because his plan going to Miami was to trade Marino and he wasn't allowed to do that.

Jimmy Johnson's plan would have eventually worked with a lot of teams. Upgrade speed and team tackling throughout the team. That was his formula at OK St and Miami before coming to Dallas.

That is true. Tex Schramm was trying to talk Tom Landry into retirement, and Jimmy Johnson was at the top of his list. Bum Bright was furious that Tex wouldn't fire Landry, and so he arranged to take a lower bid from Jerry Jones, passing up on more money, just because Jerry promised to fire Landry. So, the blame for the firing of Tom Landry really belongs to Bum Bright. If he'd sold to the higher bidder, then the alternative new owner wasn't planning to fire Tom.

Tom was wondering if he was going to get replaced. Bum Bright told Tex he wasn't going to sell to Jerry, and then Tex told Tom, which is why Tom (who was a pilot) flew his plane down to San Antonio to go golfing that week. Then Bum invited Jerry to come to town, and Bum called up the local reporters so they could take a picture of Jerry and Jimmy at the restaurant. Bum wanted to embarrass Tom Landry, because he had a personal vendetta against him. Jerry didn't call the press. Bum did - without Tex Schramm's knowledge. The next morning, when the picture came out in the paper, both Tex Schramm and Jerry Jones knew what Bum had done, and Jerry personally flew down to San Antonio to meet with Tom Landry on the golf course to apologize for the way it happened.

People forget all this. Jerry Jones was blamed for what Bum Bright did to Tom Landry.

And at the University of Miami, he also trashed the University President, and other leaders in the University. Jerry wasn't the first boss that Jimmy undermined and was insubordinate to.

I agree, players would have stayed to make "3 Peat" history. Gogan, Norton, Martin, etc. would have stayed. FB Tony Richardson would not have got cut or Dallas would have settled for FB William Floyd. Tom Ciscowski, hired by Jimmy, would have still got Larry Allen.

Shante Carver would have never been a Jimmy Johnson, Bob Ackles, John Wooten 1st round pick. He was too light as Switzer finally woke up and saw in shock. The brain trust that built the 90's dynasty would have probably drafted Henry Ford or Tim Bowens (who Jimmy got to in Miami) in the 1st round. People forget Jimmy Johnson had a Pro Bowl OL drafted already in Ron Stone (google him).

If Jerry Jones never bought the Cowboys they never would have won 3 Super Bowls in the 90's.
