LMAO i did not say rookie of the year i said rookie of the week first and it was for not fumbling on a play he should have ! Let it go Irvin just let it go enjoy the win i am on your side for crying out loud SMH
Rookie of the week, Rome of the year it doesn't matter. First he fumbled, second he lost, 3rd he wasn't the best rookie in the game much less the week or year. Winning a reward for getting sacked on 3rd down isn't worthy. You say is because he didn't fumble......go watch the replay and see he fumbled but was on the ground and was on top of it

After really watching this game closely, by seasons end, Philly won't be close to the team they started out looking like. Teams are not going to let a waterbug RB and 5 yard slants beat them. DBs are going to start jumping those routes and either they make a huge adjustment or Wentz is going to get exposed.

Oh lord are you the only Cowboy fan mad tonight ? Lord have mercy I am done with this conversation if you really think i am a wentz lover so be it ! All i did was give the guy credit for a solid play because we would have ended the game then if we recovered that fumble.

I've never seen so much hype over a guy that won't throw it over 10 yards. He's been this way THE ENTIRE YEAR. He also has no feel for the pass rush.

Unfortunately, Dak reverted to a lot of old habits. But, this kinda reminds me of Romo as a rookie...he came out on fire and then defenses got really tricky in order to stop it. I think that type of respect they are showing to Dak (which they showed to Romo in his first year) is a positive thing.

his foot work is still so bad sometimes,he could be great if he was taught correctly in college but it seems he still struggles to find a good base to throw.he needs to hit WRs in stride like Romo but they have to wait for his pass to get there.

That was the knock coming out of college. I specifically remember reading about his tendency to drift backwards and throw off his back foot which causes the ball to sail on him. We saw that a lot.

However, that's stuff that is correctable. An off-season of work and he'll be fine.

This was like the Giants game footwork wise. However, I believe that's a good thing. I would rather have a player learn footwork versus learning a new motion like Wentz. Guys like Leftwich, Jason Campbell and Randall Cunningham had major throwing motion overhauls and didn't turn out that great. Plenty of QB's had to work on footwork and if they are diligent about it, they can get it in a couple of years.

Look sorry to upset you. I'm just sick of the Wentz love. He has been ok but it's out of control especially for so called Cowboys fans. You are right, had w recover that ball then it was game over but I'm not giving him credit on that. He held the ball too long and that's what led to Scandrick making the play.

Anyways enjoy the win, look forward to more conversations with you. Let's just be excited for the win

I never what to hear the term Dak and dunk again. This guy showed he can throw the ball down field tonight. Good or bad. :lmao2:

He did, its more a sign of him being comfortable in the offense and having Dez back than him not being able to throw the ball deep.

On the downside though, this game will be a blueprint for opponents and they are going to attack Dak until he proves he can beat blitz packages. He had a QB rating of 50 until late in the game and opponents are going to attack him the same way.

The dink and dunk offense is non sustainable in the NFL. If it was, everyone would be doing it. It works in small quantities, but at some point they have to open it up or they are going to end up with alot more loses like tonight.

I thought Wentz had a good game, he looked better than I expected. Dak had his worst game so far and still got the win.

At the end of the day I thought both rookie QBs showed a lot, which is a huge win for Dallas because we got a franchise QB for a throwaway pick and Philly gave up four premium picks to get theirs.

Philly brought the house but eventually Dak lit them up..
