Okay..we'll just have to disagree about that. I know people that hate Zeke see things differently.

It's my opinion...my "eye test" is you will...The tow rarely ran the same plays but Tony had only very slightly more success running up the middle. I might try to find some data on that, but it doesn't matter all that much NOW does it?

I would also cite many people that said "oh look tony can bounce it to the outside faster that Zeke". Fine...he can. But why should he have had to? When he should be chewing REAL yards up the field through a nice hole?

Like I said...dun matter now. I do hope we can "fix" the o-line...keep consistent healthy guys there. I hope we can design quick effective run scheme. I hope our TE's can be more handy on the blocks when needed.

Whether zeke's fault or not..I hope we stop doing three straight delay handoffs up the plugged middle.
Zeke wasn’t good for 3 years.

Everything he did was because he got volume.

Pollard has been our best back for 2 1/2 seasons but he didn’t make 15 million a year and that’s what kept him sidelined.

Zeke got volume last year but it did not match his production. I'd say his first 3 years were solid....especially pre-suspension.

Ah...so you approve of KM. Good to know. Says a lot.
How does what I said take you to that statement?

You do realize he could’ve called the best play ever invented in that situation and the likelihood of us scoring is still minimal at best right?

You don't have to draft RBs in first round. We were supposed to be two deep at RB. Our mistake was thinking Zeke was effective. Else losing Pollard wouldn't have been as big a deal. We can get an effective playmaker outside of first round.
I thought Zeke was productive and looked good but seems like his body wore down as the season went on and fast.

Part of me puts some of that blame on McCarthy but I feel maybe he didnt' want to step on Kellen's toes. But if I'm a coach I'm stepping in.
It was another ridiculous situation Jerry created and McCarthy was right to let it play out.

I agree. Well production wise. Seems like his career went soon as Fredericks illness. That interior was important to his game.
Just watch him. It’s not about Frederick, blocking, playcalling, or whatever.

The dude is not the same player.

Tony Pollard is extremely productive when he plays because he’s got speed.

Zeke is a slow RB.

That's the thing. So I recently started looking at old Zeke.....and I've always felt Zeke was a great back. Maybe it was the top 5 pick projection. He was a complete back. But aside form his pass blocking what has Zeke ever done great?

Zeke has never been overly fast and he was a far more physical back then I think he even got credit for.

Even look at his plays that use to be for big games. They were holes wide open that you probably could run through them. I think his demise has honestly been exaggerated. This is straight hindsight on my part but I don't think he was ever as good as this offensive line made him look. If Zeke's 2016 is his best season and 2014 is Demarco's? I think Demarco had a more impressive showing.

Demarco had tunnel vision.

Demarco aged better than Zeke though.

Zeke has clearly lost a step. That’s not exaggerated. He used to outrun the entire defense.

Pollard still does it often.

Zeke? A 20 yard run for him is a big deal.

Three teams who might pick a running back:

1. Philadelphia - 10
2. Detroit - 18
3. Chargers - 21
Philly is not taking a TB at 10.

Plus rumors are they are sniffing around Derrick Henry anyway.

I don't disagree. But I don't feel this is new for Zeke. How many breakaway touchdowns has he had his career? Because I remember them his rookie year...I just don't think Zeke was the speed back we thought he was. Not since 2016...maybe some of 17.

I know. Just need 2 of the 3 to pass on 1 of the 2 top RBs. I have a feeling they won't. They know the value of both RBs. Hopefully, another position player or two drops to allow either Bijan or Jahmyr to drop to us at #26.

If both RBs are gone, I would prefer the Cowboys take one of the playmaking WRs (either Hyatt or Flowers). If both are gone, how about that big TE from Georgia, Darnell Washington? I don't like Kincaid. His combine numbers were average, and his season stats were as well. Not worth a 1st round pick. Darnell Washington had average numbers but because he was hardly used. Watching his tape, plus his size, strength and speed, he would fit quite well with our Cowboys both as a blocker and pass catcher. If Washington is also gone, how about trade down with someone like Arizona down into the early 2nd and secure an extra 4th and 6th round picks? Then pick the best WR, RB, DT, OL and QB with their two 2nd round picks, late 3rd and two 4ths?
Hyatt at 26 is a real reach too.

Kid is raw. Really raw. He’s likely not making much of an impact early:

On draft day I think Mingo might go higher than people think. Even as high as WR 3.

Dude is a Jamar Chase starter kit.

I think thats' why they are sniffing around Derrick Henry so they don't have to ask that question at 10. And I'm not saying they will or won't take him......but they have to ask the question is BIjan worth taking there because at the end of the day who dictates their team? Online gm's? Basement scouts? Youtube General Managers?

At the end of the day he's a great back and great value. They have a stacked team. They were just in the SB. They have two 1st round picks. Getting Derrick Henry helps this dilemma for them but I think the Eagles are asking themselves should they do it. They have built their team to where they can do such a thing.

Curious to why you feel that way though? He has two inches and 20 pounds on Chase....4.46 guy....which is nice at that size....

The GM pretty much has said they don’t view TB as a value position. They aren’t taking him at 10.

They can probably get Henry for less via trade.
