The coaches aren't to blame

Yup, it's proven with a coach who could actually coach.

We lost by 1 point to the defending NFC Champions without our starting QB. The coaches should be given credit for that. But I understand the video game generation instant gratification crowd who are too lazy to educate themselves. Being ignorant and whining is soo much more easier.

No matter what, you're going down with the "Garrett Can Do No Wrong" ship

No ones perfect Garrett included but he's not the reason we're losing. That blame needs to go to the GM who thought Weeden and Cassel were capable. Their ineffectiveness has hamstrung the coaching staff.

A coach who can't or won't make his case is just as bad. maybe JG actually wanted these backups QBs, starting safeties and RBs. As you can see, he has lost most of his fan base and soon will lose the team.

You dont think Garrett had ANYTHING to do with who our backups are?

Coaches are hamstrung so to speak yes, but really good coaches find ways to use their guys in ways to overcome some of the limitations.

Even without Romo we have an above average level of talent on this team.
Without Romo we are the worst team in the league. No other team is 0-5 in the last 5.
So are you telling me that the Jaguars, or Browns or Raiders are more talented than the Cowboys with the exception of Romo?

So if Romo retires or tear an Achilles next preseason will you be ok with JG leading this team to 0-16?
That's the pace we are on without Romo.

The coaches have the talent to win some games without Romo. They have failed to do this.

The Cowboys lost this game for one reason and one reason only. Ineffective QB play. Not coaching, not lack of a RB, not defense and not special teams. Cassel just isn't getting it done and Weeden before him.

Ineffective qb play is one thing, but who told Cassell to play it short with his throws? The announcers put up his stats in pass attempts in 3rd quarter and hebonoy made one ATTEMPT over 10 yards when the week before he threw those longer ones numerous times. Coaches were playing scared

Every coach game-plans for their upcoming opponents, watching film and adjusting to their opponents weaknesses. Every week we come out with the same offense "Beat the man in front of you", No halftime adjustments, nothing. I really wonder what they go over at halftime...Okay everyone, clap for 15 minutes, then go out there and beat the man in front of you.

Supposedly, Garrett is the guy that has an eye on personnel and made all the moves to build this OL and so forth... But Jerry is the guy that decided to bring back-up QB scrubs and Garrett had no choice but to wield to the evil that is Jerry...

The problem is people invested so much in defending Garrett through the years, so they can't let go, including Jerry... We have had continuity on the offense for the past eight years and the playbook hasn't changed at all. Now are defense is clicking once again, with the addition of Hardy and we are again back to this lack of sync with the offense and defense.

The guy is trash as a coach and a sunk cost. We simply need to move on.

I'm not saying the coaches are totally off the hook.

But, just so everyone knows.

The QB can audible out of running plays and just as well into them.

Romo's not 1 of the highest paid players in the league by accident.

JG is a problem....Romo looked like the Head Coach/OC on that last play preparation. Too many times I've seen Weeden/Cassel go sit with a solemn look on their face. JG is doing this team an injustice with that BS clapping. He looks like a HS coach against his peers. Has Romo masked his ineffectiveness?

Jay Gruden may say he is the real JG if the Skins slice his game plan up.

Jay Gruden takes all the blame when they lose... And I watch the Skins and they are a team that actually adjusts. Even Callahan is modifying how he coaches the OL based on their opponent, sometimes going man blocking primarily, sometimes zone.

The coaches either need to put their players in a better position to succeed or recognize the talent they have is insufficient.

But, but, I love watching Cole Beasley return punts for 5 yards.

Did we ever actually sack Wilson? Anytime we play a team with say, "the worst o-line", we don't get a sack. We all know how excited backup QB'S get playing us, knowing they will have a career game. That's on coaching.

It sure seems that way.
My thoughts are teams have figured out that we play man coverage off the ball and hope our front 4 can generate pressure. The problem seems to be the quick passes and the pick plays (both legal and illegal) that are so effective against us. The problem is our players are bad in zone defense so the pick plays keep working. Third down conversions are everything in this league. They rip the heart out of the defense.

Instant gratification?

LOL.

2011 he's 8-8
2012 he's 8-8
2013 he's 8-8

It's not instant gratification. It's common sense. Garrett and this staff have been mediocre. The best coach, Callahan, is now in Washington.

Please be fair to JG. He was in training in 2011 thru 2013 and Jerry/Stephen picked all the players that stunk during those years. In 2014, Jerry took the training wheels off and allowed JG to keep only the very good players so he could get a contract extension. In 2015, JG is back in training for "Playing with Injuries" and "Winning with the Backup QBs". Once JG passes these training classes he will be ready to have another 12-4 Season. Jerry is to blame for the QB Backups as well. JB is an ex-NFL QB who was also a QB Coach in Miami. JG knows QBs and Jerry told him that Weeden was the savior even thought JG stated that Weeden was not the answer. Jerry wiffed on Brad Johnson as well. Poor JG always has to deal with poor personnel and yet he has never had a losing season. The next TL is very close to being enshrined in the Ring Of honor.

It doesn't matter, Bill Belichick won with Cassel.
