I'm not acting , he definitely hasn't done much against good teams in the post season.

Okay im not saying Dak is better than Drew Brees.... but when Drew Brees was played 6 full seasons, he didn't do much in the post season either.... there are a few good quarterbacks who've come along and didn't have strong success in the playoffs after 6 full seasons of football......

Did you say the same thing about them??? No ya didn’t.....

In our last playoff game, Dak didn't play his best, but we also had 14 penalties in that game too...

Name me one quarterback who's team committed 14 or 15 penalties in that playoff game and defense got torched for pretty much 200 yards on the ground.

Name ONE quarterback succeeded in any playoff game when all that happened to his team.

I'll wait....

Doesn't take much to impress you guys does it???
Then again it's been a while since you've had a dog big win like today.
Dak is GOD and is headed for the HOF after that impressive game vs the Bears.
You Dak lovers will have your Dog days so enjoy this one and sell sell sell Dak.
I'll take it as an expected win against an inferior opponent.

Say what you want about "inferior opponents"

Brady got held to 3 points by an inferior Panthers team.

Aaron Rodgers loss to an inferior Commanders team. You had zero to say about that though huh....

You're just angry that we won another game with Dak under center. Our wins make you mad as hell because you know the next time we play your Eagles, we're gonna beat your *****.

See ya later green boy!!! Hold this L that you personally took today and send me one of those Philly cheese steaks kid!!!

I liked what I saw from Dak yesterday. He was in control of his offense, was mobile and had some good passes into tight windows. Really a nice effort.

Because of Pollards play I wouldn't call it the Dak effect though. But that's the point. With Cooper Rush the offense was changed into a game management relying on the run game kind of unit. The QB doesn't have to go wannabe superstar anymore with this team. It's about steering the ship, not trying to paddle all the time. Now add Dak's better arm and higher versatility and you have a top notch unit.

But I am also waiting for the games against Minny and GB. Those are where the Dak effect is really needed, where a true top 10 QB should make the difference compared to a backup. I'm looking foward to that. :)

Dak
  • Used his feet well on designed runs
  • Threw out of play action
  • Used option read in the red zone
If you want Dak to be a top 10 QB those have to be staples

Maybe, just maybe a healthy Dak Prescott does make a difference for this team. Going out on a limb…

Update/Clarification: Of course Dak doesn’t get ALL the credit. But the EFFECT of a healthy Dak is a better team performance, just like the EFFECT of Micah Parsons is better performances of the defensive players around him. (Seriously, some people need lessons in reading comprehension.)
While Dak did very well today, It's not really Dak. This would be more contributed to a fairly balanced play call scheme where both the run game and the passing game clicked.

Wheres Khiladi?

A typical get out early top of game like early last year in 2021 against a bad Bears run defense coming off a short week, 29th in the league, meaning they completed sucks against the run with Pollard rushing over 7 yards a carry the first half, forcing them to play plenty of single safety high with men in the box, with Dak getting plenty of time to throw but when Bears player cover 2 with 40 seconds like Dak throwing blindly into cover 2 to get picked off. If your rushing 7 YPC your always basically ahead of the chains.

This is the typical model game that exaggerates how over rated the QB is. Just like when they put up plus 40 against Atlanta last year. This is the typical game from Dak that makes you Dak-Stan’s wet your pants, but it happens year in and year out which is actually testimony of how good the personnel is that surrounds Dak.

If Dak struggled against a good defense that didn’t have to dedicate so many defenders in the box, you’d blame his inability to move the ball be dissect a defense to his hand.

Yea that’s a problem and a big part of why Allen and Mahomes are so effective.

Mobile QB’s with arms are a problem . Fields looks like he has the potential .
Fields last few games has really showed something. They need to really build around the kid. Offense line and receivers. There rushing attack is ruthless, no excuses tho. I expect way more from this defense stopping the run. That was pathetic yesterday. Still won by 20 lol. Which is weird

....so does a defensive TD and Pollard going for 131 rushing yards and 3 rushing TD's.

Yes because suddenly you have to actually fear the passing attack. It is MUCH easier to run when you actually have a QB who can throw it downfield and the defense is not just going to sit on the run.

I think the point still stands...A QB that does what Dak did today and whos stats the past 6 years suggest he is capable of these type of performances regularly against good defenses or not...GM's hands are tied and have to pay a QB like this. You can dance around how you wouldnt do it and claim that you can identify the the next Brady and draft him within a couple of drafts and your ball club would be steam rolling...but thats all highly unlikely whether you want to believe it or not.

In the real world...where NFL GM's have great paying jobs that they dont want to lose...they have to play it safe and resign Dak to that second contract. Thats just fact, man.

And just like that the Cowboys are now the 8th highest scoring team in the league. They were in the mid-20's most of the season. :starspin:

This is where we say it's the Bears.

They hadn’t given up more than 29 points all season and have a win over San Francisco. Granted the 49ers are 4-4 but they’re still pretty formidable and could only manage 10 points against the Bears.

3 pollard TDs.

team effort .
3 dak Tds Dak and the team..49 most points BY ANY TEAM THIS YEAR Huh, dak effect can be said its true. defenses have to respect the QB and pass game more..that exactly what happened. last week also a solid game.. dak get critiqued far too much around the zone,. ther was a point from the 4th qtr to the first half of last night's game dak was 13-15 with 4 tds over 3 qtrs

It is what it is. If you’re entire entertainment here is bashing your favorite teams QB then we can entertain ourselves taking aim at this group as well .

They are always so "take the high ground" when proven wrong. Typical.

Zeke sitting and allowing Pollard to start was the difference today. Dak played good, but TP opened it up for Dak
Nah dak opened it up for TP..get it right OL opened it up for both.. lmao,..good try, Dak gets credit where credit is due. he by far makes this offense better then rush.. thats the difference teams not not only have to respect the run they needed to watch dak complete those fakes on boots and rpos and also his arm and ran some he for sure made our offense full balanced. with rush they loaded the box more and we still ran but with dak back it opened things up.

When Dak plays like he does today he is a top 5-10 Qb and good enough to win a Championship. Unfortunately he only plays this good about 50% of the time in his career. His rookie season and the first half of 2021 are examples. Can he play like this for the next 12 games? If so, Dallas has a chance to make a run. But odds are he will not sustain this level of play.
