They hadn’t given up more than 29 points all season and have a win over San Francisco. Granted the 49ers are 4-4 but they’re still pretty formidable and could only manage 10 points against the Bears.

Lance was playing QB in the 49ers game.

When Dak plays like he does today he is a top 5-10 Qb and good enough to win a Championship. Unfortunately he only plays this good about 50% of the time in his career. His rookie season and the first half of 2021 are examples. Can he play like this for the next 12 games? If so, Dallas has a chance to make a run. But odds are he will not sustain this level of play.

I think this defense and run game may be enough to sustain and help him through any slumps. If we play like that, he will find his way even in struggling games.

lance was their chosen starter and they were trying to deal JG.,, so what's your point that was who the 9ers sad was the best choice at qb..stop the excuses.

The point is they've yet to beat a decent QB. If you're propping up the win against SF it's relevant to point out the QB in that game wasn't very good. It's essentially saying the same thing as PHI beat us with Cooper at QB.

They did choose to move on from Jimmy G for him. It’s not like Jimmy G got injured and they were forced to go to Lance.

Not sure what point you're making. The Colts brought in Matt Ryan. Washington brought in Wentz. Just because they went with the guy they drafted doesn't mean he played well.

The Colts brought in Matt Ryan, because they weren’t happy with the QB they had, and the same with Washington when they traded for Carson Wentz. It’s obvious the 49ers weren’t satisfied with Jimmy G, which is why they moved on from him for Trey Lance. They gave up a lot of draft picks for Trey Lance. You don’t make that kind of move when you’re happy with your current starter. Jimmy G is 3-3 as the starter this season so it’s not like he’s been lighting it up.

sorry you are headache move on you are wrong.. jez man let it go stop minimizing a Cowboys wins etc. gets old. move on..

Not minimizing a win. Minimizing 49 points. If I'm causing you a headache then get over it or move on. Or toughen up. This is just a football opinion.

So what? The point is he didn't look like he was worth what they gave up when he took the field. King Homer brought up SF as some kind of proof that CHI is good. I pointed out Lance played like crap and the response is, "well he's the starter." Does that mean he didn't play like crap?

Edit: King Homer didn't bring up SF, you did. Apologies.

You have to put this in context. That was game 1, with a wet behind the ears QB.

Game 1 performances really mean squat in the grand scheme. Even less than records after 8 games.

The 49's were 3-5 at this point last season.

Records and how teams are playing right now don’t mean much because there’s still nine games left. It comes down to who’s playing the best football entering the playoffs.

Green Bay had 24 at halftime. Chicago scored 10 points the whole game so GB reined it in for the 2nd half. Cousins had almost 300 yards when he beat them. The Giants beat them running 44 times to just 16 passes.

Chicago is scoring 20 ppg. When teams are up on an opponent who can't score, they run out the clock. That's why Chicago is bottom 4 in passes against. Why throw when you're winning and they can't stop the run?
