This s not a criticism but a concern. Prescott must develop his awareness and timing for his speed receivers' deep routes. Beasley and he have both down generally in both short and intermediate routes. Last night, Gallup was running wide open on a deep cross. Cooper beat his man cleanly on a fly pattern.
Truthfully, Prescott was under various forms of duress during both plays. That is football and especially the NFL. I do not know how much extra work Prescott and his new receivers, Cooper and Gallup, must put in beyond practice but it should be done.
Coaching can only improve their communication so much. This is a quarterback/receiver thing. Quarterback must SEE receiver. Quarterback should NOT be overthrowing receiver.
On a side note, I do like what I am seeing develop between Prescott and Hurns as the season has progressed.
