Gotta truthfully say, I'd much rather be in our shoes than in yours.

I would say the same. Same record, a better points differential, all while missing two or three OL for most of the season. You had a great win vs Seahawks on the road. We had a great win vs Colts on the road...yes Sea was better than Indy last year...maybe that isnt true this year....things change. Our only loss is to SanFran where we were 2 yards away from winning on the road, and you guys lost at home by two scores.

Who is going to improve more the rest of the way? Discounting future injuries (unpredictable) we are getting back our best LB next week and two probowl OL on Nov 10. Are you guys getting anyone back that has not played the majority of the first 6 weeks?

You guys have a relatively easy schedule for the next month or so...but then have some tough games down the stretch.

Lets face it, we can both make cases as to who is the favourite.

Three: Their receivers are not as good as ours. Not even close.

I think we are going to destroy the Eagles. I'm serious. As you said, their receiving corp is mediocre. And watching the Eagles defense try and stop our running game is going to be high comedy. I have absolutely no concern about the Eagles, none.

I'd rather just play the game than make cases. I know who the better team is, I know it. You'll find out soon enough.

For starters, to answer your question, we'll be getting our #1 draft pick, DE DeMarcus Lawrence back after the break, RT Doug Free, who was hobbled last week, DT Amobe Okoye and also DE Anthony Spencer should be rounding out well into his old self at DE. The loss we had to SF was more a case of us beating ourselves than their beating us. Romo was still rehabbing from his bad back and played like it. If we were to play them again, I'm betting the results would be different. Anything can happen between now and season's end, though. Injuries and other factors being what they are could do some crazy things, no doubt. I'm expecting the Boys vs. the Eagles to be a dogfight. Should be an intriguing matchup . . . hang in there 'til then.

I do a schedule analysis at the start of each season looking at comparative prep/rest time. Eagles have not been lucky there for a few seasons now. Just with Dallas this year we have the lucky breaks of playing a road Thursday game in Dallas...or how about playing Dallas at home when they will have 10 days rest to our 7. ;)

The eagles do have a difficult schedule. Their upcoming weeks to playing us:
Cardnals (not easy), Texans (not easy), Panthers (not easy), Packers (not easy), Titans, us (hard), Seahawks(hard), and us (hard) again.

Out of that list it is conceivable that they could loose 3 games before getting to us. Then they get they yummy oreo of us seattle us. That is another very hard 3 game stretch. They kind of did get pretty unlucky with the schedule I think.

tough to argue with that logic.

All of your success on offense is scheme based. All of our success on offense is because it can't be stopped. You're going to have to put 7-8 in the box to even come close to stopping our running game. That's pretty much giving Romo the day off, he will absolutely crucify your secondary at that point. Dude, your team has no chance, none. And I also realize there is no chance I can convince you no matter what evidence I throw down. So I don't. And that's fine, that's part of being a fan. Let's just put it this way -- I sat with a bunch of Buffalo Bills fans before the SB in '93. They were very excited before the game, thinking the Bills' previous experience in the SB the year before would serve them well against the "up and coming" Cowboys. And they blocked that punt and got even more excited. I just smiled and held my tongue because I KNEW the tsunami that was about to hit that Bills team.

I very much have that same feeling about this matchup in a few weeks. Looks great on paper, should be a very exciting game. The Eagles are going to get routed. I'm sorry.

It does kind of seem like all of their big games at home, but I have absolutely no actual data to back that up lol

Data? You don't need no stinkin' data! We're Cowboys fans, therefore they get all the big games at home.:)

talking about how it played out - end of that game could of gone either way. Which is more of a statement? A game that could go either way vs a very good team, or, shutting out an average team 27-0. Serious question, no implied answer by me.

Beating the Seahawks at their house way trumps anything the Eagles have done period

hmm, Seahawks lose yet again, down to 500. Colts shut out the Bengals, move to 5 and 2.

That still trumps it. Winning in that place against the defending champs trumps anything the Eagles have done including beating that Colts team. Also the way we won that game. We made special teams mistakes fell down twice and still came back to win. The Colts man they just gave that game away along with the refs helping the Eagles a couple of times.

the hags are definitely in a slump. But then few SB winners are able to come back the next year and duplicate their season. What is interesting is that they started off strong this season and then have slumped.
