Not true at all. Tuna built a super bowl capable team.He did something similar with Parcells with no better results.

I am not among them. I wanted a real GM, Garrett and marinelli gone. But I don't believe you can just wave a magic wand and get a great qb. Dak's likely to be the best we have for the time being so might as well get used to it.It always amazes me how many fans want to align themselves with status quo of this franchise with the results , decisions and direction we’ve had this era.
Number one pitfall of nepotism, failure to objectively evaluate performance.
Booger was correct in his answer to why he doesn't hire a GM, another would be in fear of his job to make some of the decisions he's made. There's not a GM that's ever been in the league that would have kept Garrett around that long and most would have his head on the chopping block after that trip to ATL. Bad enough he bothced the game but doing that to one of your own players is against the Coach's Hippocratic Oath.
But we haven’t even tried. The first flash in the pants we latch on to. I believe we are limiting our potential with Dak cause we’re afraid to look elsewhere.I am not among them. He got his azz kicked and did not look elite in any of those prior Super Bowls. He made it there because the AFC was very weak with little competition back then. Not because of him being Elite. Was Boomer Esiason Elite too? What about Phil Simms? Joe Thiesman??? Come on man! That elite quarterback bs means nothing without a good team and excellent coachingBut he went to 3 Super Bowls on his arm. That’s what Elite is all about. Not winning championships but carrying your team to the brink time and time again.

Then who screwed it up? It certainly didn’t perform as such while he was there nor after he left. Not true at all. Tuna built a super bowl capable team.
What if it didn't work with anyone? They hire another. And another. And another. Hell, there's usually 6-9 of these HC's fired every season, they've only hit 5......so far, but 3 in the East. I am still not buying Blank wants to keep Quinn.Basically the same. Public opinion and perception.
So, what if it doesn’t work with Mike. Then what?
So, you think Big Mike is a liar? According to him, he's had his eye on Moore. A lot of people have kept an eye on him because he's an up and comer. He gets some continuity for his QB and his offense and he's adopting their terminology so that would make sense to keep the OC.Ahhhh.... theres in lies the bigger conundrum.
And why it better work fast cause Jethro will get impatient and begin inserting himself more.
Retaining Moore is symptom #1. Lol
My point is why are we placing so much hope in Mike? What if it didn't work with anyone? They hire another. And another. And another. Hell, there's usually 6-9 of these HC's fired every season, they've only hit 5......so far, but 3 in the East. I am still not buying Blank wants to keep Quinn.
Tooter, are you taking it out of the can? Noooo, you're doing it all wrong. This is a terrible take. There's nothing in Cambell's chunky to really act as ruffage and scour the colon. Cleaning your colon with Chunky would be like trying to scrub your floors with vegetable oil.
Why would we hold any faith in any of their words publicly ? Much like with Jerry it’s all about selling a perception. Tell them what they want to hear. So, you think Big Mike is a liar? You are so blind, because of your dislike of Booger, that you have to see the black lining. Big Mike has also said he wants to keep Prescott. you think Booger is behind that as well? The man has put his rep on the line and chose this team to coach and he had other options so I think Booger might have wanted to accommodate him. Will that last? I have no idea and neither does anyone else.
Because most of us are tired of this past 10 year experiment with Garrett and the on the job training. Most are tired of not having any hope that Garrett will get it and be able to run the team.My point is why are we placing so much hope in Mike?
But I will say my hope resides now in I don’t think Jerry will have patience any longer. HC has 2 maybe 3 years and he’s outta here. Our coaching carousel will return to pre Garrett era.
I’m concerned Jerry could revert back to a more puppet style like with Moore saying, ok I tried a proven HC. Didn’t work. Y’all happy. Here we go again.
Word was the Giants were coming with an offer and that's why Booger moved so fast to get it done. CLE was also rumored to be interested. Why would we hold any faith in any of their words publicly ? Much like with Jerry it’s all about selling a perception. Tell them what they want to hear.
Everyone knew coming in Jerry was big on Moore and Dak. So, if you’re a HC looking for a landing spot tell the owner what he wants to hear.
What other offers did he have ? He had interviews but no offers I heard of.
I’m suspect of anything and everything Jerry does or says. You used to be too until Big Mikes Homer Wagon parked at the Star. Lol
I’ve been without hope for over two decades. Get over it. It is what it is. Don’t need hope to root on our team for 60 minutes 16 weeks a year.Because most of us are tired of this past 10 year experiment with Garrett and the on the job training. Most are tired of not having any hope that Garrett will get it and be able to run the team.
Garrett kept making mistakes, even Booger called him out after games so why would he back off on his training? He is a stubborn man but I do not think he didn't hear everything that's been going around, particularly this year.
I would have hope for any HC that Booger respects and I think he does Big Mike. If he'd brought one of the college guys in, then I am concerned he's going to be involved. He said form the beginning he wanted a NFL guy for a reason.
And what the hell is wrong with keeping Moore? You act like he's some plant for Booger to keep an eye on the HC. I buy that Big Mike wants him because it makes sense with the QB that responded to him and going with the present offensive terminology.
I fully expect Booger to continue announcing player stuff that other HC's do but I don't think most HC's would care. Most GM's don't do pc's and they avoid the media. That's this GM's favorite part of the job.
What??? His team went 13-3 and got homefield the first year under Wade. He started with 5-11 teams and he added some damned good players. Had his risk with Rogers and Peterman worked out, he would have had good lines. Then who screwed it up? It certainly didn’t perform as such while he was there nor after he left.
If you can't see the difference between Garrett and just what Big Mike's done inside of two weeks, I can't help you. Be happy wearing ashes and sackcloth.I’ve been without hope for over two decades. Get over it. It is what it is. Don’t need hope to root on our team for 60 minutes 16 weeks a year.
Garrett isn’t why we didn’t have hope. Jerry is.
Amazing fans are assuming Jerry’s done being Jerry.
You've been caught up in the vibe of these forums too long without real Cowboys influence outside of it by admittance yourself.
This notion Mike is our Savior is hilarious. It’s going to be a lot of fun.
You’re really ate up with Big Mike. It explains why you seem to have forgotten what’s transpired the last 25 years.Word was the Giants were coming with an offer and that's why Booger moved so fast to get it done. CLE was also rumored to be interested.
So, Booger is big on Moore and Dak. I've got news, a lot of people are. I've not heard anything but compliments about Moore's first year and there are plenty of ex NFL QB's that feel Dak is pretty special, two of them played for the Cowboys.
Like I said, your Booger problem shades everything. You really want to see him fail miserably, even if it means your own teams sprials, just to make him pay. I don't get why you even remain a fan feeling like that. You've spent so much time spinning everything into a Booger roast that others have become numb to it. It's the other shoe to your posts.
I don't like him, never have and never will but I don't think he wants to sabotage his own team. I can give anyone, any age, credit for learning from their mistakes and taking a different approach.
Makes me wonder Greg, do you even want to be happy? Can't you take something at it's face value until proven otherwise? If it goes south, do you think I am going to regret going all in? Hell, I am tired of feeling negative and expecting the team to screw up, I want to feel positive.
Don’t try to wrap me up and put a bow on it Coach. Your homer flag is waving high right now. That’s fine. I’m not trying to deter that. Enjoy it.If you can't see the difference between Garrett and just what Big Mike's done inside of two weeks, I can't help you. Be happy wearing ashes and sackcloth.
And if you've been without hope for two decades, why are you still here? Masochist? Why didn't you just go away and wait for Booger to go toes up? Misery loves company but you're having a hard time finding that because most are either pretty jazzed or at least wait and see. Greg, you're are not raining on the parade as much as you're pissing up a rope.
Another regular season championship and choke in the playoffs much like the Garrett era. What??? His team went 13-3 and got homefield the first year under Wade. He started with 5-11 teams and he added some damned good players. Had his risk with Rogers and Peterman worked out, he would have had good lines.
