Amari body language the second half of the season was so "I'm done with this ****".

There were numerous tape breakdowns(think one by Warner) where Coop was open sometimes wide open multiple times a game when Dak didn't even look his way and checked the ball down.

You don't bring in a primer route runner WR1 and not look his way. Almost every team will force the ball to their WR1 for them to make plays.

I get your point, but if Amari was such a premier receiver, he wouldn't be on his 3rd team before he turned 30.

There is also numerous tape breakdowns of Amari disappearing in big games and away games. Maybe you should find a better example to use. He ain't it.

That was it. It's over. Dak Prescott will be gone in 2024. October 10th, 2023, was the day Dak's career in Dallas died.

Three just horrible performances in a row against the 49ers. Regressing rapidly. He looked 45 years old last night. His eyes were bigger than the 49ers side of the scoreboard. Last night looked like every big game against a legitimately good team for Dak.

Every. Single. One.

Dak's most ardent supporters have abandoned him today locally. Bob Sturm even said that thoughts of extension talks must stop immediately. This has to end. Let him play out the string this year, but unless he does a full 360 in these games, let him go.

CeeDee is done with him. His body language said so. Saw that from Amari in the end, too. Parsons played half-hearted. The whole team saw what we saw. Passes fluttering around like butterflies in the wind. No trips to the red zone. Happy feet. No confidence. Absolutely zero confidence in himself.

The coaches and players have no confidence in him either. McCarthy dumbed it down as far as he could go for Dak. It ain't working. The Farve and Rodgers plays were left back in Wisconsin because those are pipe dreams.

That's it. This team will likely fall into the back end of the playoffs and go out like a candle in a tornado.

The team needs a full makeover, but the first move is to move on from Dak.

Finally. Thankfully.
I’m not too sure the team needs a complete overhaul. I agree we need a QB that doesn’t crumble under pressure and can actually throw the football where the receivers don’t need to reach behind them or leave their feet to catch it. As long as the Jones’ own the Cowboys they will never be more than a 12-5 team that makes the first round of the playoffs then goes home. What have Jerry and family done recently? Off season free agency is a joke. The Cowboys never sign anyone of real value in the off season. When was the last time they picked anyone up that that came on and made a difference where you said “wow, great pickup “. The Jones’ run the Cowboys as a family business, and Jerry is so arrogant he can’t step down and hire a real GM who knows how to work the free agent market.Who brought in McCarthy? Offensive football has evolved since the last time Mike called plays, yet he is still caught up in a system that is ineffective in todays NFL. If Jerry was a smart man, he would ditch Mike and bring in a young, innovative college coach, like a Lincoln Riley. Did he forget the success he had the last time he went with a guy right out of college? Anyone recall a guy named Jimmy Johnson?

Prediction: Cowboys finish 9-8, don’t make the playoffs and big Mike is unemployed after they lose three in a row to the Eagles, Bills, and Dolphins.

My only question, and forgive me if it's already been answered because I don't feel like combing through 9 pages of posts is how much of a cap hit does Dallas take the next few years in order to cut bait and move on?

If it's anything major I bet we have to endure more of him because I can't see any team stupid enough to take on the salary when he appears to be declining instead of progressing

I think if Dak does a full 360, it will put him right back where he's at now....correct? Plus, doing a full 360 may make him dizzy and more susceptible to throwing errant ducks. My biggest fear is he strings a few good games together and gets Booger and Chuckles sucked back into thinking extension. If they extend him, I'll come on here to comment about it....but then I'm done....and done with anything Cowboys.
Makes me want to watch “last action hero”.

It’s a 62 million dead cap if he is cut after the season. It is 32 million in 2025.

I'm thinking the same thing.

They could possibly lose 4 in a row here, though I think the Chargers and Rams are possible wins.

That would doom McCarthy asap and elevate Quinn to head coach. Not sure if they'd Trey Lance the rest of the season for draft picks, but not likely.

But here's the deal. The 49ers will crush the Eagles, too. It's going to get interesting.
Not too sure about that. Eagles have the big nasty front on D that the Cowboys don't. I think it'll be a dogfight.

Don't know about the hit, but we save 34 mil by cutting him in March.

When did Dak extend? His 4 yr 160 mil contract is over after the 24 season. His 59 mil cap hit for 24 is mostly not guaranteed.

I really wanted Dak to prove the naysayers wrong on Sunday night. I was a believer.

I am no longer a Dak supporter. Dude is mid at best, and is definitely not the answer at QB.

Well then it looks like we are screwed. I mean I know worse QBs have won Super Bowls but to me you have to pursue the future while letting the guy making all the money ride the bench which is probably a recipe for disaster

I’m not a cap guru, just regurgitating what is posted here often. I didn’t think 2025 mattered either but it is what I’ve read. I wasn’t even talking about guaranteed money, just the dead money cap hit.

The 49ers, Eagles, and Lions are the only legit teams left in the NFC. Dallas' Super Bowl hopes are over.
No it's not.....start Cooper rush and start grooming trey and see where that takes us at seasons end!
