People were saying Amari was some kind of locker room cancer, a no show in important games. And I believed that too. But despite that I always knew sending him off for a 5th was I e of the most stupid trades our GM did. But not only that. Seems that it wasn't Amari, who should have been ousted.
I knew Dak wasn't any good but after watching that game the other night I'm also convinced the difference between the 49ers and Cowboys is one team prepares like a military unit on a mission in a war zone and pays attention to details while the other team hangs around the pool at the local country club discussing how good they are. And I'm sure this same difference is also in their fitness regimen. The Cowboys also need to get rid of McCarthy and get a young talented creative head coach. I'm so sick of Jerry ruining this teams discipline with his meddling. New coach needs to build his own staff and have full control.

Problem with this board is the penchant for exiting individuals and buying in to the ringmasters' claim of pending success......each year. This franchise is running over 25 years without success on the field, but the cash registers are burning hot bringing in value off the field. It has been buffoonery and egomaniac moments from the owner for a long time.

That was it. It's over. Dak Prescott will be gone in 2024. October 10th, 2023, was the day Dak's career in Dallas died.

Three just horrible performances in a row against the 49ers. Regressing rapidly. He looked 45 years old last night. His eyes were bigger than the 49ers side of the scoreboard. Last night looked like every big game against a legitimately good team for Dak.

Every. Single. One.

Dak's most ardent supporters have abandoned him today locally. Bob Sturm even said that thoughts of extension talks must stop immediately. This has to end. Let him play out the string this year, but unless he does a full 360 in these games, let him go.

CeeDee is done with him. His body language said so. Saw that from Amari in the end, too. Parsons played half-hearted. The whole team saw what we saw. Passes fluttering around like butterflies in the wind. No trips to the red zone. Happy feet. No confidence. Absolutely zero confidence in himself.

The coaches and players have no confidence in him either. McCarthy dumbed it down as far as he could go for Dak. It ain't working. The Farve and Rodgers plays were left back in Wisconsin because those are pipe dreams.

That's it. This team will likely fall into the back end of the playoffs and go out like a candle in a tornado.

The team needs a full makeover, but the first move is to move on from Dak.

Finally. Thankfully.
Time to rip the team down to the studs and rebuild, correctly. Not sure that will happen with ownership/ management. The first step as you perfectly laid out, Dak must go

Pollard should be what he was drafted to be, the RB/WR hybrid.
He turned out to be a much better RB than we had dreamed, and we gave up on the WR part.
The irony being that in a game like we had against the 49-ers it would have been better to use him more as a receiver coming out of the backfield as opposed to a RB who was simply plowing forward.

If that game truly sealed Dak’s tenure here, then i couldnt be more ecstatic
This was the best thing that could have happened, an absolute thrashing by the 49ers, the team that was considered their rival and the worst player on the field last night being Dak, where everybody could focus on all his warts with the defense bailing him out.

I’ve been waiting for a game just like this, when Dak’s “luck” of circumstances including playing not only bad QBs, but a bunch of backup corners, would run out.
The “con” is over.

What does Dallas do with the 61M dead cap? No matter how you split it up, it's going to suck.

It’s amazing how this game is the line in the sand for many fans .

Most of us knew what our QB was or is. And why we were more excited that perhaps we finally had a defense that could carry him further against greater teams like SF.

It’s also obvious that many of these fans had bought into the hype this year and were looking for us to emerge as one of the best teams .

Unfortunately it appears the gap is even wider and SF has become arguably not only best team in NFC but NFL. And we remain a second tier team struggling to make the playoffs. It is what it is . We are what we are. No breaking news here.

Pardon the interruption as I haven’t seen the post or posts you are responding to but being a local I’ve often referred to the Cowboys in the “ us “ or “ we”.

They are after all our team as the taxpaying Dollars help support stadiums, etc.

There’s a reason these franchises are named after the cities we live in not the owner who buys them. They are the temporary key holders to a franchise designated for our city.
I guess that's ok if you are a local. I didn't think of that. I'm not.

Did we? There are people still claiming that he is a top 10 QB.
Yes, and many of these homers also bought into the hype this year we were one of the best teams and SB caliber.

The reality is Dak is in the next group of QB’s in middle tier despite the hype surrounding him and our franchise. He’s not the caliber that’s going to carry us against the better teams and especially greater defenses which he has struggled against throughout his career.

What many of us had hoped is that we might have finally built a greater defense which could carry us which that appears to be have been over hyped as well.

I'm not happy any of this happened. Dak Prescott is a good dude. Stand up guy. But he ain't no franchise QB and there is nothing wrong with that.
Franchise QB is a broad description. It’s not defined by Elite , greatness or even top 10. Basically a franchise QB is one the franchise invest a longer or extended contract to.
