You got a point. Belicheat won how many games with the same trash at QB, and not huge talent surrounding him.
...and us staying in the game after 3 turnovers is a criticism of a coaching staff, how? This could have easily turned into a blowout after those turnovers.
Teams do not consistently win with their backups. Most teams have trouble consistently winning with their starting QB. Winning 2 games should have always been the expectation, and even that is a little high.
The one area that needs to be fixed is us creating turnovers on defense. If that starts to happen, we start to get Ws. We have gotten quite unlucky in that department. One ball bounces our way and we are looking at a W.
Not huge talent around him? The team went 16-0 the season before.
He might clap too much, but no coach in the league can toss the challenge flag like Red . . . . . . .
Or smack a guys butt . . . . .
Or smile

That is the creepy smile every politician has. It's that "I don't give a crap about you but I'm going to pretend like I will raise your kids if anything happens to you" look.
Superior coaches can win despite injuries and suspensions--within reason.
I wasn't going to pin the first two losses on Garrett due to who the team was missing--Romo, Bryant, and a significant portion of your front seven.
The third loss was a matter of running into a buzzsaw without the offense to maintain pace. Again, it's tough to pin that loss on Garrett.
However, we are getting to the point when there are enough players returning from injuries and suspensions that Garrett--if he is the coach Jerry thinks he is--should be able to pull out some wins.
Look how accomplished Harbaugh was with that scrub at QB, whose supposedly on an island now in the 49ers locker room...
That's exactly the point, though. Garrett's whole thing is to be your best, regardless of circumstances. If he lost his business just because the team were slumping, he'd lose his credibility. There isn't the option of chewing somebody out just because that's what fans want to see.
But you create your circumstance 95% of the time. Allowing people's "best" to put you in adverse circumstance isnt very credible either
I know it is silly and irrational for it to bother me so much but when he is doing it after a bad play I just want to smack the freckles off his face and yell... STOP IT
The consistently poor decision-making on special teams is an indictment against the coaching staff.
Teams may not win consistently with their backup quarterback but they can stay afloat, which we are not doing.
This is the first game in which I have been critical of the coaching staff. I'm not wanting anybody fired. I'm just pointing it out.
What "teams"? Show me teams in the same position as us, losing their QB early on, that stayed afloat. People love to point back to the 2008 and the Patriots, which is rare. This also doesn't take into account that we weren't just banged up at the QB position, but on defense for 2 out of the past 4 games. We still don't have our top 5 WR.
We still have 3 games before Romo gets back. We could still "stay afloat" by winning two of the next 3. That's it, that's all we need.
The Commanders pulled ahead of us with Kirk Cousins as starting QB, after RG3 was benched after pre-season... And they were down 24-0...
They haven't had Reed for two games prior, there primary WR is Garçon... Their second tier WRs are like ours...
Their play calling is light years better than ours, and that's with Gruden...
