As a sport talk show host, what comment can you almost always universally state which will come true at the end of the season? SAS lives on this statement.

The Dallas Cowboys will fail again this year. But that applies to perhaps 30 teams in the league.

It's not a prediction. It's playing the odds. And if you make that comment about all thirty two teams, your record will be 31-1.

Give me one thousand dollars, and those odds in Vegas and I'll retire.
You haven;t placed your bets already?

No it doesn’t . It shows they are looking to the future . They know Rush isn’t heir apparent.

Now, if they don’t renew Prescotts contract by next year then you have a story . Until then Lance is a potential heir apparent.
If the plane doesnt crash what would the story be, reporting the truth is boring.....

Broadus seems to think this isn't a far-fetched scenario. He said he could see it happening, letting Dak go after this year, rolling next year with Lance.

He also guessed that Biadatz is likely to not get an extension, the draft next year is full of good centers.

It cant happen and the team structure be the same, thats the thing, you wont be just losing Dak with that cap hit.

35 TDs and 15 Interceptions wouldn't warrant any MVP votes given the modern day QB friendly rules.
Prescott will likely put up good stats because the Cowboys are loaded and he feasts on jazzing up his numbers against weak opposition. Cousins would do the same if he was QB here but like Prescott, he's a serial loser as well.

What really matters is how he performs in the play offs against solid teams like the 49ers not one of the worst teams to ever make the play offs (Tampa Bay last season).
Prescott is a serial loser? What was Tony Romo then? Anyone that calls Prescott a serial loser needs a serious self evaluation. Lack of playoff success? Blame the owner.

Did you watch the last two play off games against the 49ers?

I disagree wholeheartedly. If there is a "feisty battle between Trey Lance and Cooper Rush" then Lance is not the guy we hope him to be, and the QB position is in much worse shape than with Dak.

I don't care if the team finds a Dak upgrade, but if the "upgrade" involves a battle for the starting job that includes Cooper Rush then it isn't an upgrade.

It would make sense to dump Dak if this team was rebuilding. Conversations about not extending Dak when the team is this close to a SB is insane. The Cowboys will not roll the dice with Lance. Lance's starting job is in the USFL. MAYBE
The problem with being so close to a SB is Dak is holding them back. QBs like Dak don't win SB. He is already over achieving just to make the playoffs.

Help me out, does Dak line up against 11 defenders on his own? Does he line up at the nose and play D too? Did SF have one of the best defenses in football or were those cupcakes he should have hung a 50 on?

Those were team losses. Sure Dak threw a couple picks. He didn’t let a sure TD clank of his face mask. Captain Cabo did. He didn’t matador a key tackle that lead to a big play or let a sure pick bounce off his hands. That was Diggs. Kicker sucked. Pollard got hurt. Schultz sucked. The coaching staff blew a couple games that could have lead to one of those games being played in Dallas too. It was a team loss but go ahead and blame it all on Dak.

Romo is always going to be the fallback when discussing Dak's failures. Well, Romo failed also, so Dak can to is their logic. It's called deflection.
So we are just supposed to forget about Romo?

Yes, because Romo is old news and is not with the team. The only reason to bring Romo up is to deflect from the sucky job that Dak has done so far. Oh, and you say in the 49'er game he threw a couple of picks, yes, and those are the ones that lost the game. The defense held the 49'ers to low scoring, but then came hop along Dak to screw it up with just "a couple of picks".

He was traded for to have some competition at the position, something worthy of potential simple leverage at a very cheap price.
Jerry is tired of grabbing his ankles.
He was traded for to get the Cowboys back in the news. Jerry was tired of the incessant media attention being paid the New York Jets. Trey Lance will never start a game for the Dallas Cowboys.

Everyone sees the writing on the wall.

Dak is on the way out.
Jerry does not hide what he is thinking very often. He comes straight out and tells you, if you listen. he was ust quoted as saying they see Dak as the qb for a very long time. They are working on an extension now.

He may have used Lance as leverage to try to keep Dak at a contract that is reasonable... meaning he aint getting Burrow, Hurts type money... but Dak isnt going anywhere anytime soon.
