I’ll keep repeating it, with the Joneses in charge it isn’t going to matter who the HC is. A new HC will equal the same results. The Cowboys have gone through several head coaches the past 30 years and nothing has changed.

Unless there is a coordinator out there that really bring fresh ideas, none of these retreads seem any better than McCarthy to me. He knows Dak and if we are strapped to his salary then we should at least know we have a scheme that can make him productive.

plus I’m of the mind that the real problem is how we construct a top heavy roster and try to fill holes with high risk reward players. A new coach doesn’t solve for that.

Big Mac needs a QB who understands the game, reads a defense,and picks up on the little things that make a difference..

His problem as HC is he doesn't think outside the box enough. After 18 years of doing it a certain it becomes a hard habit to break.

And most of all he needs an organization commited to winning.

He can't fix the organization.
He can't fix the QB.
And I doubt he can change the way he sees the game

He's still one of the better coaches in the league, one we're lucky to have. And due to Booger and Booger Jr's madness method we don't stand a chance of getting a better option, if there was one.

Might as well put out a want ad like, "Who wants to ruin their coaching career while being a clown in the biggest circus in the NFL? The hours suck. The pay sucks. The working conditions suck. And you get no credit for any success you have. Apply at your own risk."

McCarthy staying or going is a non-factor as long as Dak Prescott is the quarterback.
At least he is a legitimate head coach.
As long as Prescott is the quarterback Jason Garrett's influence and incompetence continues to poison the team.

Now, in another debacle, we are left to twiddle our thumbs while the bumbling moron tries to figure it out. Not sure what can be done, but I had to vent.

Running another head coach out of town might satisfy the ugly mob's demand for blood but it doesn't fix anything around here.

I agree. Why change HC now and make our low IQ QB learn a new system in year 10.
IMO this HC and QB are joined at the hip. When one goes the other will too.

I hope that they cut McCarthy loose so that food shortages in the Dallas - Ft. Worth area will be a thing of the past.

Rumors going around on a few Cowboy fan sites has McFatty returning almost a certainty, the hold up appears to be related to the structure of the deal. Jerry wants a lot of incentives in the deal.
