The idea of MM being retained is a slap in the face to all Cowboys fans

Jerry Jones is going to do what Jerry Jones wants to do, and you're going to like it OR you find another team to follow and don't watch another Dallas game again in your life, nor spend any money on the Cowboys.

So, whats ya going to do? ;)
Boyhowdy, did you get this one wrong.

I hate what Jerry does to my team, I'm not going anywhere, and the find another team cliche is weak and childish.

That's Jerry, not MM.
It's Jerry refusing to have any sort of accountability on the Cowboys. Mike McCarthy coming back is merely a symptom of the problem. The only reason anyone including the coach stays on the cowboys is to pick up easy checks with low accountability because there's certainly no desire to win.

Looking at what Howie does with the Eagles is why they continue to be so successful. Meanwhile, we are going on year 30 of Jerry trying to show it's him and not Jimmy. FO is the most important position in football and ours is manned by someone who is not a football person and isn't holding anyone accountable. We're going to get the exact same if not worse results next year.

How can we win when the FO missed EASY layups. Derek Henry wanted to come here. Our FO seemed happy they didn't give him a call and instead brought back Zeke who couldn't beat out Rico Dowdle?

Sitting on the couch, week after week, watching the Cowboys get blown out, one thing gave me (and a lot of Cowboys fans) solace was the fact that we would be moving on from Mike McCarthy and this failed regime. Who, even in the best of times, figured out ways to screw it up.

Now, in another debacle, we are left to twiddle our thumbs while the bumbling moron tries to figure it out. Not sure what can be done, but I had to vent.
The MM slap doesn't compare to the kick in the pants that the Dak re-signing was.

MM will come out of it re-signed as the "highest paid coach in NFL history". ;)

I gave you two choices, and they're yours to make.

Jerry only gives you once choice ;)

That's the KEY difference between the Cowboys and the Eagles.

How many time when people here talk of Eagles management do they speak of Jeff Laurie, the owner of the Eagles? They don't, it's the general managers name that is mentioned, NOT the owner.

It has nothing to do with the coaches. With bad coaching we have 3 wins.

We lack talent because our GM thinks this is a hobby.

I don’t know how much of this year’s failure is because of MM. No body knows.
We know one thing for sure, it’s mostly the Joneses. It has been the Jones for the last 26+ years.
.
Cause of failure distribution
Jones (the GM) 51%
Players: 30%
MM: 19%
Just my humble opinion.

The slap in the face has been constant for years. But Jerry slapped us extra hard last year when he said he was all in, then did nothing in free agency. That was a slap in the face and a kick in the nethers for good measure.

Jerry remaining GM is the true slap in the face to Cowboy fans. Hiring another coach to keep pretending that's not the case is really why fans are fed up with this team and situation. It doesn't get better.
Agreed.
At this point, I don’t know if hiring another HC coach will move the needle one bit. It just means starting from scratch, again.
I think MM is a decent coach, if given good players. FWIW, Jimmy Johnson believes MM is a good coach.
This year has been a disaster…even by recent Cowboys’ standards.
Lack of player talent didn’t help MM.

To be fair Jerry isn’t accountable to anyone, but himself. And in his mind he’s a football genius.

Bringing back McCarthy would be an even bigger blunder than giving Prescott the highest contract in NFL history.

Let that sink in....

Won't be the first time you got slapped; welcome to battered wife syndrome.

Pretending the Cowboy's problems begin and end with Mike McCarthy is a total waste of time.
Replacing McCarthy is like placing a bandaid on a cancer, the cancer being the GM Jerry Jones. THAT'S where the problem lies, not with the HC.
Replace the GM and the rest will begin to fall into place.

I have to laugh. Any topic and Dak is bought into it. His 60m is living rent free in some heads.

Jerry doesn't really care about winning big on the field, he just wants to be a Playoff or borderline Playoff team to remain relevant. Why do you think he wanted to win those games so much...to meet the borderline mark. Anyways, all Jerry cares about is the Forbes list. Nothing will change if his money don't.

He slapped everyone when he said all in after the previous season. Then did nothing in FA, and made Dak the highest paid QB.

Getting rid of MM won't change a thing here.
