The Joseph Randle Mega Thread **merged**

If the only 'story' is that he bolted after learning of his demotion, I think this team has to cut him at this point.

How many strikes does an average player get around here?

While other players like Hardy and Claiborne have had issues, both are better at their jobs than Randle is at his, and neither one has the laundry list of issues in Dallas that Randle has.

I thought he might be getting phased out after that goal line gaffe. This latest incident should solidify that, if not put him out on the street.

Cutting him might send just the message that needs to be sent in order to line the team up for a serious run.

I'm trying to look around to find the answers on why he did what he did, but it seems like there's conflicting information out there.

Clarence Hill is reporting that his leaving was unrelated to his demotion, but unless there's a really good personal reason for it, this would be the last straw for me.

Who cares? Mo did this a couple years back as well when he got demoted.

News flash! Play better!

Ahhhhh. There. Fixed it for ya.

This notion that Randle's performance (or lack thereof) ties directly to the oline is garbage. The oline plays one speed. They're hogs. They are going to play at a particular level for 4 quarters. Now perhaps someone can explain to me how that ties into Randle's proven propensity to turn into a pumpkin in the second halves this year. I'll help you.

This is a lead dog -------> :espn:

This is a lead dog's impression of Randle ---> :muttley:

Get rid of this clown.

The whole team plays like crap in the second half. Defense tries its best but the offense can't move the ball and the special teams unit is a joke.

I have to agree. It was indeed one of the most amazing blitz pickups I have seen since Demarco. & it happened to be up close & personal in the camera view.
Cool, McFadden had a good block.

He missed two, if I'm not mistaken, against NE.

But what else did Mo do that kept his name in the paper? Nothing, and he focused on that and learned from that incident and made himself a better player. He was also a first rd draft choice. If Randle was a first rd draft choice different story. But this kid has acted like he is entitled to something without earning anything. Him shooting his mouth off about Dez was enough for me to see the type of person he is, and he hasn't changed. After the leap on the GL and his response to the coaches and media proved he was that same person. It will never change.

Bye Felicia

Randle was running good before he got hurt. It's not his fault this offense isn't doing anything to help him.

He may have. But his injuries and his insubordination hindered him from assuming the starting role on a lasting basis. That's the point.

You've heard the adage, the best ability is availability.

Randle has not been available to finish what he started. And so ... next man up.

It's being insinuated by Fish and others that this has nothing to do with demotion but rather personal/and or related to Ratliff. Anyone know what the h-e-double hockey sticks is going on?

Yeah no doubt. His act is old... Especially for an average talent at best.

any idea where I can see this blitz pickup? I missed that part

Never a dull moment.

The and the next man up is way more talented and seems to be a team player

How in the world is this tied to the Rat thing?

So, is it possible that Joe Randle couldnt handle the pressure and pounding one gets from being a lead back in the NFL?

Who couldve seen this coming? shocker!!

Hearsay without video.
There's this blurb from Broaddus but I don't have the vid:
3) I will admit that I was wrong about Darren McFadden. He is not the best back on this offense, but I am not sure if Joseph Randle is either. McFadden overall was just poor. He doesn't appear to be playing with any power or balance. Where I thought he would be a slasher and a second level runner, he is neither. He now goes down way too easy. I was also disappointed in his pass protection. He knows better than to cut block in the middle of the pocket. That decision cost his team dearly.
