The Lance trade was the best Jerry move of all time

I think this one may work out. I truly do.
The 49ers never had the patience he was always injured. He had an amazing passer rating in college. I mean they gave three first round picks to get them they must’ve had a reason.

Picked up a cheap 23 year old, high ceiling QB prospect for a 4th rounder. Huge asymmetry on this one boys and girls.

Best Jerry trade of all time. Prove me wrong.
Clearly you must be joking, I dont know if its even close to the best trade even this offseason.

Chances are were gambling our pick away, but these are the chances I think theyre worth taking. Lance has talent, but needs a lot of development to see what he can become.

How about Lance proving you wrong. Niners gave away their 1sr round QB because he had too high of a ceiling.
No, they did it because they never had the patience. They were do it now situation They were a Super Bowl caliber team and they weren’t starting new like Jacksonville or Cleveland.. This could be a huge trade for us.

A fourth round pick, this was a no-brainer trading for this young man

I would rather let time prove you right.
Right now anyone can say anything and challenge them to prove them wrong.

No one can prove you wrong. The benefits of the trade have not been realized yet. Is it potentially Jones' best trade of all-time? Of course. A time machine could decide the verdict but those things are so unreliable.
They used to be unreliable, but if you remember...Oh wait, never mind, that was in a different timeline, you wouldn't remember it.

He must be a new or very young fan.
Actually, I think he’s been around for a while. I’m hoping this kid gets a real shot and making something for himself. The potential is through the roof. It’s all been injuries for him and no patience from the 49ers there a Super Bowl caliber team who’s playing for today not tomorrow

We still counting moves from the Jimmy era like Jerry played a major part? lol the post Jimmy era and I say brandin cooks is a better trade just this year. But there have been some terrible trades where this one looks amazing in comparison.

its an excellent trade...theres an upside that if he can be mentored by Mike and built up he can be the QB of the future

risk? yes very much so but you dont bring in a young qb that was drafted 3rd overall if you dont see future starting potential in him

it was the move most have been wanting so that dak either gets it done or gets out

The guy never had a shot in the NFL because of injuries. He had 100+ passer rating in college. 97% in the NFL for three games. The 49ers never had a shot using him they never had the patience. This could be a huge trade for the Cowboys.

Hope your right

This is presently an overreaction but it is true about the high ceiling for Lance. With great coaching and mentorship, this really could be Jerry's greatest move of all time... and that's saying a great deal.

Better trade than giving up two first rounders for Joey Galloway or a third for James McKnight or a first and a second for Roy Williams.

He can't be proven right or wrong until it plays out, probably in 3 or 4 years.
He said it is the best ever. He did not say it potentially or could be the best ever. As of right now it does not even rank because Lance is unproven.

Carson Wentz had a high ceiling. Three teams thought they could develop him.

One added benefit is we will get insights into SF schemes. Both sides of the ball in addition to assessments of weakness of players

Isn't Kyle Shanahan supposed to be a QB guru? If he couldn't get anything out of Lance, what makes you think McCarthy can?
