Mental midget Dak will take this as an affront to his starting job and crap the bed again this season. Watch....

So that’s the downside. The downside.
That is not so much the downside as the outcome. The upside is that if your QB does get hurt for a couple games the backup QB position might be slightly better, but no guarantees considering again he was considered inferior to Sam Darnold, so certainly not good enough to win with, but hopefully enough to get by with.

Basically its low risk low reward.

I mean, saying that you are putting the horse before the cart is taking it easy on you but I ultimately hope you end up being right. Time will tell.

what about bringing Trey Lance in mid 4th quarter , and run some option type plays . He has running ability , and some wildcat as well.

Picked up a cheap 23 year old, high ceiling QB prospect for a 4th rounder. Huge asymmetry on this one boys and girls.

Best Jerry trade of all time. Prove me wrong.
Well, the Herschel Walker trade wasn’t bad, so I’d say that this one is no higher than 2nd all time currently.

Hopefully this can produce as many Super Bowls as the 49ers trade of Charles Haley to the Cowboys.

Not at all. This is an extremely low risk, high reward trade.
It is, but it doesn’t compare with the Walker trade, the Haley trade, etc.
This kid started one season and 1 game in college and a couple games last year before injury. If you watch his SF highlights, you can see why he was named the starter over the rookie Purdy last season and why they let Garapolo walk after a SB appearance. He needs time. I’m betting he wins the backup job next season in Dallas.

Lance will probably prove you wrong himself.

Herschel Walker says hello though

I think the real issue is. Those who wanted to replace Prescott , with the quarterback. Just had the ceiling fall in on them . Rather than look at the potential of this young man. They can’t see past the blind hate of Prescott.

Not sure about hate. Dak seems like a really cool guy and a good person. A good leader. But he is too inconsistent . Looks great against Tampa then looks awful against San Fran. I don’t see him be good enough for 3 or 4 straight playoff games to win a SB. I hope he proves me wrong

I'm guessing around 99.999% of people here will say that wasn't Jerry's doing.
That number should be at 100 considering his work ever since. Do people really think he masterminded those trades? Jimmy not only did that but also came up with the draft value chart the entire league uses today. That .001 haven’t really been paying attention the past 30 years.
