The more I watch Odell, the more I get ticked off about Dez

Half the comments in this thread:thumbdown:. I'm ready for the FA and draft talk to start on here and get as far away from this season as possible.

Like a cat burying a turd.

Maybe we can knock the Commanders off on our way out. That would be nice, at least.

Its gotten pretty bad here as of late. Even the Campo years weren't this painful. Nobody expected anything those years. Everyone felt this team was a legitimate SB contender. To go from that to the current state of the team is as big of a gut punch as a fan could experience.

I've checked out on this season. Wish they would just stick in Chaz Green, play Jones exclusively at S, get Wilson and Nzeocha some snaps, maybe give Turbin 10-15 carries a game, Get Escobar and Swaim more involved. Just a complete youth movement the next 3 weeks to see what they have in them.

That's what I'd do at this point, too. Might was well, now.

Without Romo, this team isn't any closer to homefield advantage OR the guts to take on black n' blue December and challenge it.

Don't think it's he's going 75% more like that's what happens we you comeback from that leg injury, players that already had that even said it themselves, he wouldn't be able to run this season until the next, still running the risk of rebreaking it and getting it worse.

Ding Ding Ding

Winner winner chicken dinner

Our offense is the only offense that doesn't have big plays for their best play maker for some reason. You watch other teams and they make specific plays for them. The only reason he would make plays was cause Tony would actually throw him the ball and let him make a play.

Dez is alright but there's a lot lacking in his game. I wonder what he'll be like when he's older and loses a lot of the explosiveness/athleticism he has now. Compared to his peers like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, AJ Green all of those guys have much better route running ability. And the youngers like Odell, Hopkins, and Amari Cooper will continue to improve too.

.....most notably lacking is a QB. That and ODB playing some slot, passing scheme, and chemistry with QB & Coach. Dez is vilified on here, but he is the least of the problems and ineptitude we see each week.

Eli can be bad at times, but he ain't no Matt Cassel.....can we agree on that?

Coughlin can looked dismayed many times......but he ain't no JG.......can we agree on that?

Bring OBJ in this mess, and he'd be on IR for trying to make a ridiculous catch on a ridiculously thrown ball.

Look at the route tree Dez runs compared to Odell. There's a bit more creativity with the Giants, matter of fact on the 84 yard TD to Odell the OC must've known that the Dolphins Safety plays aggressive and the double move worked. Do we have that same creativity in our offense? Don't think so!

This. Garrett and Linehan have to get more creative with this offense. It's boring and predictable.
that is all a factor, but you forget he is getting paid 13 mil this year, which is 10 times what he made last year, and his production has gone down
to almost nothing.
He has hurt the team more than helped.

Dez is playing like he got a paycut not a x 10 pay raise.

Hopefully he is better next year.
Dez is playing like a guy who's missed significant time who's pressing and still not 100% over the broken foot. Even Romo wasn't sharp after he missed time. Remember Thanksgiving? He's making over 100M.

Its not even close. Odell is far better, even with a completely healthy Dez with or without his monkey.

All I can say, is that it's too bad that Jerry can't just stick to scheduling rock concerts, instead of fielding a whole team that folds like a deck of cards when missing Tony Romo? C'mon!

Dez isn't even in the same league as Beckham, he's too inconsistent, disappears for entire games, and God forbid he has to fight for a ball. I don't know that I've ever seen a physical receiver get out manned for a ball more than Dez.

Romo or not and with no disrespect to Dez........ I'm taking Beckham. They are both amongst the best in the league. It's a damn shame we can't create better opportunities for Dez, in fact it's a crime.

Dez will have a better season next year. Like many of the players on the field, they're battered both physically and mentally and the grind of a poor season with such high hopes dashed repeatedly have taken their toll.

He'll bounce back; my hope is that he'll learn to stop buying into his own hype and produce the results to match his talent.

The reason these players are battered both physically and mentally is because they needed to do something special and pick this team up under some adverse conditions and they didn't do it. Granted, the coaches are in the same boat, but these "battered" players made their own bed. Across the board, with a few exceptions, these same players are under achieving at a time when they are needed most. No offense, but your excuse does not fly.

OBJ plays in a market where he is likely to get slobbered over by the media. I have questions about his longevity but he comes up big in national TV games.

I think ODB will be here a long time. He has a knack for making a catch without getting hit.

Dez gets gang tackled every time he gets the ball.

Exactly. Just look how they're slobbering all over Porzingis right now.
