The more I watch Odell, the more I get ticked off about Dez

If I had to pick between the two, I'm taking Odell Beckham Jr. But he benefits from a more creative offense also.
Dez needs to develop a stronger mental game. He gets taken out of games too many times as far as I'm concerned. I'm reminded of two plays this year that are telling to me:

1. On the deep pass in the Tampa game, he appears to be poised to argue pass interference before the defender even makes the interception.
2. Against Carolina, he's arguing with Josh Norman as an interception is in progress.

If I'm an opponent, I'm trying to get in Dez's head as much as possible, ala, McGregor vs. Aldo.

Having said that, Dez is our talented knucklehead, and when Romo gets back, I believe he'll return to form. :)

First round, I'd be quite happy to draft Ole Miss receiver Laquon Treadwell to pair with Dez.

A lot of the things T.O. Was saying about Garrett years ago were true. It's amazing he's still here and Jerry just gave him a nice fat 5 year extension.

Ok, I am a big T.O., but seriously T.O. was way off the mark with his remarks on Garrett.

That would be huge. but if the top 2 qb somehow slides... you gota take one, or get a darn good backup in freeagency

Look at the route tree Dez runs compared to Odell. There's a bit more creativity with the Giants, matter of fact on the 84 yard TD to Odell the OC must've known that the Dolphins Safety plays aggressive and the double move worked. Do we have that same creativity in our offense? Don't think so!

Heard an interview with ODB this morning and he said that Eli saw something on film a few hours before the game and that he and Eli discussed it and "drew the play up in the dirt" before the game...it worked. He never mentioned the OC having anything to do with it.

I don't blame Jason Garrett for everything like a lot of people do. I think Dez is a big baby. He acts like it and lately he's been playing like it. Neither Jason Garrett nor Matt Cassell is standing out on the field batting balls away that hit Dez in the hands. But the Jason Garrett offense is LAME. It does nothing to create opportunities for playmakers, unlike just about every other offense in the league. I've been harping on the ill (non) use of the Whitehead jet sweep in the offense ever since Dunbar went down and the jet sweep made its initial and quite successful appearance, so I'll not go there. But not ONE jet sweep Sunday? ?????

We need a new offense in Dallas. Romo is good, but he could be so much better running an offense that helps him out instead of depending on him for everything.

More like Garrett nation and Cassell nation has ruined him. Have Odell and Dez switch places and Dez will be tearing it up in New York. Look at how different Dwayne Harris looks over there.

I agree with this. As much of a punk as Des is, his talent is being wasted under Garrett. Unless of course you have Romo to check out of everything and make the offense hum.

This kid has snatched Dez's spot as the next goat receiver.

His grace catching balls millimeters from the sideline only magnifies Dez's overall sloppiness.

I love Dez but either Roc Nation or something else has ruined him.

This offseason, he needs to go back to Lufkin and humble himself. Get rid of the silly X celebration, get in tip top condition and come back hungrier than ever. He's lost some of his quick twitch ability IMO. Watch the all-22, he's not running hard on all of his routes...not even 75%.

The way the NFL is making ODB the face of the league has to motivate Dez this offseason!

Most of it is the offense.. That being said, I think there is some truth there..

Looks like he got bulkier.. If true, I don't know why anybody in skill positions thinks getting bulkier and adding more muscle mass equates to superior play on the field.. It's always the opposite.. Roy Williams at SS became a train wreck when he got bulkier..

I still think we need a real speedster that can actually get separation and move Dez around like the Cards do with Fitz now. Not sure if Dez is willing to do that though.

We moved him a lot more when Callahan started controlling the dense. And the drag route was a bread and butter route for him, particularly that Denver game.

Dez isn't even in the same league as Beckham, he's too inconsistent, disappears for entire games, and God forbid he has to fight for a ball. I don't know that I've ever seen a physical receiver get out manned for a ball more than Dez.

You're kidding, right? Dez has made some of the toughest catches imaginable, and up until this season on a regular basis.

Treadwell with a healthy, motivated Dez and Romo would be filthy.

The fact that you have to include "motivated" in that statement makes it all the more frustrating.

We shouldn't have to question our $70,000,000 WR's motivation...

LOL I knew a silly thread like this was coming. Dez is still one of the best WRs in the game. He still commands double and sometimes triple teams. He doesn't have a QB that throws him the ball well consistently, he is battling injuries and the coaches aren't putting him in the best position to get the ball. A combo of all of that is why he is having a subpar season but make no mistake Dez is still a badass. And if OBJ was such a stud why are the Giants 6-7 right now. And I don't see him getting double teams that much. Last night he just ran right past the Miami DBs like how does that happen. He for some reason isn't getting that attention yet.

u do realize Dez has Cassel Mr. 64th worst QB in the nfl throwing him the ball vs Eli manning a guy with 2 superbowl MVP's. If we had romo all season this wouldn't even be a issue. We probably would have the division wrapped up already. Sad how losing one guy can turn a team to crap. Goes to show you how much tony romo made not only the offensive scheme but jason garrett look good. Romo is basically a coach himself. Garrett has got to go. I know witten and romo loves him but this scheme is crap. We can only win 1 game without romo vs the bad teams we played smh. Shame.

Dez Bryant has 15 100+ receiving yards games in 83 career games. Odell Beckham Jr. has 15 100+ receiving yards games in 25 career games. Beckham is a very special player.

OBJ is also a great end zone dancer....if he traded places with Dez, the moment something went south.....his head would called for on a platter.

I blame the lack of creativity offensively on Garrett. His offense is boring and very predictable, even last year the offense was predictable however it worked because our O-Line could mow down teams. This year our predictable play calling doesn't work and it shows on 3rd and 1.

The Giants are probably the best in the NFL at drafting or finding receivers. I can't think of a year where the Giants receivers actually sucked, everyone runs clean routes and make tough catches. When the Giants signed Harris in the offseason it confirmed what a lot of us knew, he's actually a good all around player. I'm baffled that our team could not find use for Harris on offense last season, how do you not know how to use talent? Garrett must go!

You really had a problem with last years offense?
