honestly watching hockey made me realize how much i hate watching nfl games now.
3yd play, 5 minutes commercials, half a drive 5 min commercials, commercials before kickoff - commercials afterkick off.
Meanwhile hockey you get basically a barely interrupted 20min session with a 15 min break. To think ill pay for extra games to have half my time sitting through commercials is a no for me, meanwhile itll be a pirates life for me.
You hate the nfl??? yet you are in here discussing it in a forum.....lol
I bet you have just turned off all nfl games, including the cowboys.

Illegal streaming of sports has been going on for over a decade. Leagues are obviously aware of this. So, what have leagues done? Instead of figuring out ways to incentivize people to watch games in a legal matter, they spend countless hours and money trying to figure out how to just stop it from happening without coming up with a solution that streamers and the leagues are both happy with.
the league is supposed to give in to people illegally streaming their games? smh, you guys are unreal.
Do you think that te grocery stores should cut their prices down to levels low enough to make shoplifters stop stealing product? You think Nordstrom's should lower prices low enough to keep those flash mobs from stealing all that product?

Why don’t the NFL offer packages. Buy your favorite teams games for X amount. Or buy a single game for X. Why not expand your options to people so it don’t cost 350 bucks for 5 or 6 months worth of entertainment and the entertainment for most of us during that time is about 4 hours once a week. 350 bucks for maybe 24 days of entertainment. Games last 3 hours or so. So what 72 hours of entertainment. 350 bucks for 72 hours.
why doesnt the movie thater offer me half price movies for the midweek noon showing? I mean, nobody is in there anyways. No way will I pay what they want.
Why doesnt my mechanic llow me to purchase all my parts and supply them to him ? I dont want his parts, just his labor.

You have the gift of patience. I am patient also but not when comes to watching something I really want to see. :)

My hope is that Prime has evaluated and corrected the problems it had during its initial season broadcasting Thursday Night Football. Their product must be worthy of streaming for the price they charge for simply signing up for Prime itself.
what problems did you have? I had ZERO issues with TNF on Amazon.

I'm a fan of different packages, but you're making a pretty good argument against that lol. 350 bucks for 72 hours of entertainment is an extremely good deal, it just sounds bad when you pay it in one large lump sum. Break that down and it's less than $5 per hour of entertainment, plus you have the option to watch more if you want. Very few entertainment options for that low of a price breakdown.
no, no, no , no. Its too expensive. Unless the NFL wants to let me watch Cowboys games only for $0.99 per game, they will never get my money. Those greddy NFL Billionaires.

and UAW is fighting for a 40% pay raise......lol

The logic some of you use (using the term logic is really a stretch) is unreal. MLB charges 129 dollar because that is what the market demands.

People could stop catalytic converter thefts also. Just eave a sign on your cars catalytic converter telling the thief you are leaving them a 100 dollar bill in your exhaist pipe... just tdont take the catalytic converter.
I believe I read a few years ago that they do not raise prices because they have a ton of subscribers and they have made a lot on the package and did not want to turn off fans.

MLB has never shown the signs of blatant greed that the nfl has, few corporations have. Not saying mlb prices are cheap but they have been better about everything than the nfl has. Its the better sport also. The knock on mlb for me is they put the postseason on cable which sucks and has hurt the game. This years baseball season has been fantastic and is going to have a great finish promising a great post season....which will then air on tbs which is a huge mistake.

wow..... im certainly not well versed in the ignorant stuff many of you are writing.
Streamers offer a desired service, for free. The NFL doesn't offer the desired service. It's not even a cost problem per se. They simply don't offer it. As my original post stated. The NFL could charge $500 a season for the service I'm interested in and I'd be interested in paying that. They simply don't offer it. The supply functionally doesn't exist.

Reminds me of people illegally downloading music a long time ago. The bands were mad and i remember one saying I should make 18 million off this album but i am only gonna make 15 or 16. I have to feed my family.

I get it. I really do but that was the wrong example to bring. Some of the people downloading the music or watching the game on a pirate site can barely afford their internet bill. Much less 350 bucks to see the games. I knew one guy that ate ramen noodles for 2 months out of the year so he could get Sunday ticket.
Well.... Lars was right. Illegal downloads have decimated new music. Bands simply make zero profit from making new music.... so they dont.
2nd... if a dude was so poor he was eating ramen so he could watch football, he shouldnt have been watching football... he should have been at work.

yea.. the streamers are stealing, then giving it to you for free so THEY can make money. They are making money off those streams off of the nfl. Like I said, im no moralist, but hearing some of your excuses are hilarious. Why dont you throw some steaks in your pants and walk out of the store, then just justify it by saying you cant afford those steaks??? Please tell me the difference?

Weird. I've purchased all of the music I own, and most of it is from bands/albums since the Metallica/Napster days. Including Metallica albums. I've even had FB message conversations with super local bands finding out how to buy physical media from them.

I don't know what money they make off me. I have several adblocker programs I *pay for*. The NFL literally does not offer the service I would pay for. Get it through your thick skull

they are making a little money. Those streams all come from people paying for the games from other countries and streaming them. Its kind of like password sharing for streaming services. I am sure most of the people watching the streams are not people who would ever actually pay for the product at any price.

Baseball doesnt come close to the numbers the NFL does. Thats why the NFL is more expensive. Baseball, for you, may be a better product, but for me it isnt even close. I am PASSIONATE about football, more specifically the Dallas Cowboys. I live in Ca and I will be going to the opener against the Jets, game in Phoenix against the Cards, to LA against the Chargers, to Niners game and thinking about back to Dallas for Giants game in Nov. That isnt cheap and ONLY the Cowboys games could make me fly across the country for an entertainment event.

its worth it to me, even though it might not be to you. And going to those games wont force me to eat top ramen all month.
