Slot receiver, scat back, Wild Cat direct snap - these are what you could do to make use of his running ability, and he could be an emergency 3rd QB without having to worry about carrying more than two active since he would be playing a different position.
So you now want him to take up a roster spot?

I still say the next QB to lead the Cowboys to a championship is NOT on this roster currently. Cooper Rush cannot and he is better than Lance. The only one who can prove me wrong is Dak Prescott and I honestly do not think he has what it takes.

But all of that leads us to a bigger problem. We do not have an owner or general manager or his top advisor (Stephen) that can evaluate football talent. That makes the upcoming QB search double tough. Heaven help us.

Trey Lance is every bit an NFL QB!! He got better with every snap in these preseason games. Yeah he had 5 ints well 4, one was on the Receiver. Anyway those interceptions helped him he will learn he has already learned from those. That was an excellent trade we won on that trade and the 49ers will regret trading him.
He played a good game in spite of the interceptions

He has already learned???

If he learned from the first one how did he throw 4 more?

How did he not learn from the near picks in game 1 or 2?

He constantly throws behind the receiver.

He can not properly anticipate and throw to a moving target. Plain and simple as that.

He hasnt improved in 4 years. He is still as lost as when he came into the league. Probably even more so now that he doesnt have Shanahan
