I think the lottery is dumb when the pot is huge like that. Should give it to like 100 people not 1 or 3.

Not as many people would play if the jackpot is small. The reason why Powerball recently changed the rules is to get the jackpots bigger so more people would play. I very rarely play the lottery as I know it's a "tax on the stupid" but when it got as large as it did I spent a couple of bucks on 4 tickets. Otherwise I ignore it.

Of the 4 tickets I matched 1 number and none of the numbers on my tickets repeated. Luckily things like that give me plenty of reasons why I spend my money on better things.

Im the opposite I would play if I had a better chance at winning. I don't need 300 million I just don't want a mortgage anymore lol

I don't play to make money, but hey, it's fun to see the numbers come out to see how you did. I'm okay with paying $10 every once in a while for such a thing considering that Starbucks will give you a hot chocolate and a muffin for that much.

Though I did buy some tickets for last nights I really like to play the first couple drawings after a huge jackpot like this is won. That way if you win everybody will still be so focused on who won the big one you could almost claim your prize relatively unnoticed.

That is exactly right. The powerball will make far more money this year just because of the last 2 drawings because of that.
